  • Patent number: 7032417
Abstract: A lock mechanism primarily intended for a sliding door or window application. The lock mechanism includes a lock body (10) with a lock beak (21) rotatably mounted therewith and biased by a bias element (23) to a first position. The lock beak (21) is co-operable with a hook (20) of a strike (13) upon the hook engaging in the body whereby the lock beak (21) rotates to a second position against the bias of biasing element (23). Operating members (27 and 28) within the lock body (10) are operable by external actuating elements such that the operating members can be independently operated to cause the lock beak (21) to move from said first position to said second position and one of the operating members to retain the lock beak in said first position.

  • Publication number: 20050103066
Abstract: A multi-point lock for a closure includes two or more of a latch (19,20), lift bolt (13) and at least one drive element (16,17) for operating a shoot bolt or remote deadbolt. A drive cam (15), a drive gear (14) and a toothed member (42) coupled to at least one of said lift bolt (13) and at least one said drive element (16,17), said toothed member (42) being in meshed engagement with the drive gear (14), said drive cam (15) being drivingly coupled with the drive gear (14) via a lost motion coupling (38,40). Rotation of the drive cam (15) in one direction can thus actuate the latch (19,20) and in the opposite direction actuate the drive gear (14) to cause movement of the lift bolt (13) and drive element (16,17).

  • Publication number: 20040050119
Abstract: A lock mechanism primarily intended for a sliding door or window application. The lock mechanism includes a lock body (10) with a lock beck (21) rotatably mounted therewith and biased by a bias element (23) to a first position. The lock beck (21) is co-operable with a hook (20) of a strike (13) upon the hook engaging in the body whereby the lock beck (21) rotates to a second position against the bias of biasing element (23). Operating members (27 and 28) within the lock body (10) are operable by external actuating elements such that the operating members can be independently operated to cause the lock beck (21) to move from said first position to said second position and one of the operating members to retain the lock beck in said first position.

  • Patent number: 6450063
Abstract: A folding handle for attachment to a rotatable shaft element. The handle includes a handle body 10 having a cavity 17 within which a mounting block 20 is engaged. The mounting block 20 has oppositely projecting pivot members 21 slidingly engaged in recesses 19 in the walls 18 of the cavity 17. The pivot members 21 therefore engage with bearing surfaces 19a to facilitate pivotal movement of the handle body 10 relative to the mounting block 20. A clip 24 retains the mounting block 20 in cavity 17. No pivot pin is therefore visible.
