Publication number: 20240178580Abstract: A welded connection arrangement for cooled current transmission is disclosed. The welded connection arrangement includes a tubular electrical line designed to conduct current from an electrical load, such as a charging socket, to a storage medium, such as a battery. The tubular electrical line includes a first end for connection to the electrical consumer and a second end for connection to the storage medium. The tubular electrical line is furthermore designed to accommodate a coolant for cooling the tubular electrical line. The weld connection arrangement includes an electrically conductive contact part attached to a respective end of the tubular electrical line in order to contact the same electrically. The weld connection arrangement includes a sealing plug inserted into the tubular electrical line at the respective end and, together with the electrically conductive contact part, is welded to the tubular electrical line in order to seal the tubular electrical line against leakage of coolant.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2023Publication date: May 30, 2024Applicant: Lisa Draexlmaier GmbHInventors: Christoph FORSTMEIER, Tobias INGERL, Norbert KLEIN

Publication number: 20230187887Abstract: A method of making an electrical connection is here proposed. The method includes the steps of joining a first contact member to a second contact member in a material-to-material contact. The method steps for the same include: providing the first contact part, which towards the second contact part has a male, first joining section as a solid component with an at least substantially rotationally symmetrical profile, providing the second contact part having towards the first contact part a female second joining portion with a hollow profile, inserting the first joining section into the second joining section, applying a friction welding tool (400) to or in an opening of the second joining section (121), and moving the friction welding tool relative to the first contact part and/or the second contact part to generate welding energy for at least partially plasticizing a part of the first joining portion and/or second joining portion facing the other contact part.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2021Publication date: June 15, 2023Inventors: Christoph Forstmeier, Klaus Specht, Ludwig Stephan

Patent number: 11394163Abstract: The disclosure sets out a method for producing an electrical line arrangement by integrally joining a free end of an electrical conductor to a metal component. The method includes reshaping a section of the metal component to form a receiving sleeve, inserting the conductor into the receiving sleeve, attaching a friction welding tool to the receiving sleeve, and moving the friction welding tool relative to the metal component and/or the conductor for generating welding energy for at least partially melting a portion facing the conductor, e.g. an inner wall, the metal component and/or the conductor.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2018Date of Patent: July 19, 2022Assignee: LISA DRÄXLMAIER GMBHInventors: Christoph Goetzmann, Klaus Specht, Christoph Forstmeier

Patent number: 11158961Abstract: A method for producing an electrical line arrangement with an electrical conductor and an electrical contact element to be connected thereto includes preparation of the exposed conductor, affixing of a casing open on its two front sides up to the exposed conductor, and forming of a first firmly bonded connection between the exposed conductor and an interior perimeter section of the casing by friction stir welding, by introducing a reaming tool from one front side into the casing and rotating the tool relative to the casing and to the conductor. Additionally, the method includes forming of a second firmly bonded connection between the casing and the contact element.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2019Date of Patent: October 26, 2021Assignee: LISA DRAEXLMAIER GMBHInventors: Christoph Forstmeier, Georg Völlner

Publication number: 20210273395Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method for connecting a strand element to a connection element using a re-shaping method, such as a connecting a cable lug. A system is also disclosed which comprises a pair of receiving elements having a front side with a recess and a hollow section. The hollow section is designed to accommodate a press insert having a front side with a recess. The receiving element and the press inserts are arranged in a vice. The system also comprises a clamp having a front side with a recess, which is suitable for receiving the connection element. When a pair of receiving elements is arranged, together with the press insert, around a central region of the connection element, then a re-shaping connection, such as a crimp connection, is produced between the strand element and the connection element.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 4, 2018Publication date: September 2, 2021Inventors: Marc ESSERS, Pascal RABE, Christoph FORSTMEIER, Christoph GEFFERS, Uwe REISGEN

Patent number: 11063388Abstract: A method may be provided for sealing a joining region of an electrical connection assembly, the assembly comprising a cable having a plurality of individual conductors, which are arranged in a holding sleeve of an electrical connection element and which are welded to an end section of the holding sleeve in the joining region, which is formed as a recess. The joining region may be sealed by means of a plug inserted into the joining region at an end face and in an interlocking manner, wherein the plug is adapted to a shape of a friction welding tool, by means of which the individual conductors and the end section of the holding sleeve have previously been welded to each other by friction welding. An electrical connection assembly may also be provided.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2018Date of Patent: July 13, 2021Assignee: Lisa Dräxlmaier GmbHInventors: Christoph Forstmeier, Lutz Lehmann, Felix Klimas

Patent number: 10873171Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for integrally joining an electrical line to an electric contact part by means of a material bond. An exposed end of the line is inserted into a receiving sleeve of the contact part. Then a friction welding tool is rotated on an open end face of the receiving sleeve for the cohesive connection of the line end with the receiving sleeve. According to the disclosure, a powdery metal filler material is introduced into the receiving sleeve before rotation in such a way that the metal filler material is at least partially arranged between the line end and/or the receiving sleeve and the friction welding tool. Furthermore, the disclosure also concerns an electrical line arrangement which is manufactured with the aid of the metal filler material.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2018Date of Patent: December 22, 2020Assignee: Lisa Dräxlmaier GmbHInventor: Christoph Forstmeier
