  • Publication number: 20230149842
Abstract: A filter element for filtering a fluid has a filter body with a filter medium folded in a zigzag shape with folds extending in a fold direction. The filter body has an end edge bonding which seals fold ends of the folds. The filter body has an outer contour with recesses. The end edge bonding, in a region of the recesses of the outer contour of the filter body, is embodied discontinuously. The end edge bonding has at least one outwardly positioned first bonding segment and an inwardly positioned second bonding segment, viewed in the fold direction. The inwardly positioned second bonding segment, in a transverse direction relative to the fold direction, is arranged at a spacing to the at least one outwardly positioned first bonding segment. The at least one outwardly positioned first bonding segment and the inwardly positioned second bonding segment bond at least one common fold.

  • Patent number: 11020701
Abstract: A filter element for an air filter has a filter bellows with a filter medium folded multiple times. A recess is disposed in the filter bellows and is designed to receive a guiding rib of the air filter. The recess is curved at least in sections thereof along a length extension of the recess. The air filter has a housing and a guiding rib, wherein the filter element is arranged at least partially in the housing and the guiding rib is immersed at least partially in the recess of the filter element. In a method for producing the filter element, the recess in the filter bellows is formed with a computer-assisted separation method that forms the recess to be curved at least in sections thereof.

  • Patent number: 10596510
Abstract: A filter element is provided with a filter medium body that is a folded filter of filter paper. The filter medium body has an inflow side and an outflow side. A sealing element is arranged on the filter medium body. At an end edge face, the filter medium body has an adhesive bead filling at least partially intermediate fold spaces at end edges of the folds. The filter medium body has a lateral band adhesively connected to and covering the end edge face positioned at an angle relative to the inflow and outflow sides. The lateral band is connected to end edges of the folds at the end edge face and extends all the way to the inflow and outflow sides. The lateral band has at least one leg resting on the inflow side or the outflow side adjacent to a rim area of the filter medium body.
