  • Patent number: 10497190
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for electronic access control. An electronic access control method for identifying a person within an access region is described. An identification document may be associated with the person. The method may include sensing an identification characteristic of the person in the access region based at least in part on the identification document using an identification sensing device; transmitting the identification characteristic using the identification sensing device to a biometric sensing device; and sensing a biometric characteristic of the person using the biometric sensing device within the access region in response to receipt of the identification characteristic to identify the person.

  • Patent number: 7034807
Abstract: A configuration for interacting with a display visible in a display window includes a recording unit for recording a pointer object in a vicinity of a display window. In addition, a computer unit is used to determine a position of the pointer object within a display of the display window, and the computer unit is connected to the recording unit. Part of the display can be statically mounted on the display window, in particular, printed thereon. A screen, in particular, a flat screen, can be used for generating at least part of the display. A projector can be used for projecting part of the display onto the display window. Part of the display window can be a semi-transparent or coated area. The recording unit can be behind the display window or above or below the display. A reflective surface for reflecting a beam path from and to the recording unit can be placed above or below the display.

  • Publication number: 20020041325
Abstract: An interaction configuration is specified which has a projection surface which is disposed in such a way that it is visible to a user. Furthermore, a camera is provided which is disposed in the projection surface. In this case, the user and the addressee can be projected at each other in a more natural manner, in particular, the interaction configuration provides eye-to-eye contact.

  • Patent number: 6353428
Abstract: The arrangement detects an object that is irradiated by waves in the invisible spectral range. Infrared illumination is preferably employed in order to recognize an object on a display projected onto an arbitrary surface that is displayed for the user in the visible spectral range and to be able to track the movement of this object. User interfaces produced by a computer can thus be projected onto an arbitrary background. Touch-free inputs can ensue on these user interfaces by moving the hand or with some other input unit, whereby the triggering of an action is coupled to a dwell for a prescribable time over a field linked to a control characteristic.

  • Patent number: 5828779
Abstract: In a color table in a computer unit for the classification of picture elements in an image, a table is constructed in which an entry is made for each color displayable by the computer unit as to whether the corresponding color corresponds to a selectable, predetermined color, or is not similar to the selectable color. For this purpose, all color values are transformed into a two-dimensional color space. The user marks a region of selectable size that comprises the selectable predetermined color on the image. An average value is calculated over this region leaving color values in the region that diverge greatly from the selectable predetermined color value out of consideration. On the basis of geometric considerations, a check is made for each color value to see whether it is adequately similar to the selectable predetermined color or not. The binary check result is entered into the color table, which contains an entry for each color displayable by the computer unit.

  • Patent number: 5751843
Abstract: The images of an image sequence are put into binary form by applying a threshold value operation. The moments of the individual segments of each individual binary image of the binary image sequence are determined up to a prescribed order. Parameters which describe the position and rotational position of the segments in space are determined from the moments; the markings and their position and rotational position in space are determined with the aid of these parameters and the moments. Finally, the position and rotational position of the marked objects in space are determined using the known arrangement of the markings on the marked objects.
