In the first detection step, the first device intercepts a message for requesting whether the subscriber device has or has not been stolen, as request message, the request message originating from a Mobile Switching Center relating to the home mobile network and being addressed to an Equipment Identity Register relating to the home mobile network. A corresponding first device is also disclosed.
