  • Patent number: 10477582
Abstract: A method of opportunistic access to a frequency band dedicated to a synchronous primary network by a secondary user. The frequency band is divided into K independent channels to which an indicator Bk and an average availability Sk are assigned. At each time frame t, the method includes observing, by the secondary user, the channel i having the greatest indicator Bi(t); and if the channel i is busy, updating the average availability Si of channel i and updating indicator Bi (t) of the channel as a function of Si, and if the channel i is free: updating the average availability Si of channel i, transmitting data set up during the frame t on channel i, computing a quality index Ri (t) of channel i, and updating indicators Bk (t) of the K channels as a function of the average availabilities Sk and Ri (t).

  • Patent number: 7212813
Abstract: The present invention provides a telecommunication system that has a processing unit; a memory; and at least a software component implemented on a processing unit and using said memory. Each software component includes a set of attributes, each attribute being a pointer to a particular location of a memory in which configuration data are stored, the configuration data defining features of the software component, at least a run attribute defining a run-time process for processing the data in the software component; and a reconfigure method adapted to switch the linkage of an attribute from an initial location in said memory to a final location in said memory. Furthermore, the system is configured to trigger on request the reconfigure method for software component and activate the run-time process defined by the run attribute of the or each software component according to a predetermined schedule.

  • Patent number: 7184498
Abstract: The device (10) for digital demodulation comprises a polyphase filter (14) comprising a set of N distinct elementary digital filters and means (16) of selection, for each block of an elementary digital filter (Hi). It comprises a decimating stage (18) for selecting samples in each block on completion of the digital filtering and means (20) for determining samples to be selected comprising means (28) for computing an error signal for each filtered block and means (31) for evaluating the error signal suitable for determining the samples to be selected in the relevant block. That the means (16) of selection of an elementary digital filter (Hi) comprise means (28) for calculating an error signal. The means (28) for calculating an error signal are common to the means (16) of selection of the elementary digital filter (Hi) to be implemented and to the means (20) for determining samples to be selected. Application to a mobile telephone or base station.

  • Patent number: 7170957
Abstract: The device (10) for digital demodulation comprises a polyphase filter (14) comprising a set of N distinct elementary digital filters (Hi) and means (16) of selection, for each block of an elementary digital filter (Hi). These latter comprise means (28) for computing an error signal, means (30) for comparing performance indicators for the digital filters arising from the error signals and means (30) for determining the elementary digital filter (Hi) to be implemented in respect of the following block as a function of the result of the comparison. The digital filters (Hi) are ordered. They are chosen according to the order of the filters, as a function of the result of the comparison performed on the performance indicators for the elementary digital filters (Hi) implemented in respect of at least one previous block. Application to a mobile telephone or base station.
