  • Publication number: 20230358085
Abstract: A door hinge assembly for securing access to a security compartment is disclosed in which the door is received within a recess of a door frame that is in turn fixed to a security compartment. The door rotates between closed and open positions by rotating about a pivot connection that is formed between the door and the door frame by a high security gooseneck. The gooseneck is fixed to the door and has a gooseneck channel formed of first and second wall portions and a lower portion connecting the two wall portions. One of the wall portions is connected to a pivot point beneath the door frame and the other to the connection portion connected to the door.

  • Patent number: 9068282
Abstract: A system and method for making a biomaterial device includes a support structure providing a shape for a biomaterial device. At least one applicator has a supply of biomaterial solution and is positioned along the support structure. The at least one applicator forms a biomaterial fiber by applying shear force to the biomaterial solution and delivering the biomaterial fiber to the support structure. A controller causes relative movement between the support structure and the at least one applicator, and the biomaterial fiber is arranged on the support structure according to the relative movement to form the biomaterial device. The biomaterial may be silk fibroin which may be wound onto a reciprocating and rotating mandrel. Control over the properties of the biomaterial device is achieved through appropriate selection of material processing, winding strategy, and post-winding processing.

  • Publication number: 20070128087
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for automated bioreactor sampling connected to a reactor comprising a sampler, at least one tube fluidly connecting said reactor with said sampler and a pump for pumping fluids from said reactor to said sampler and vice versa. Particularly simple and essentially dead volume-free sampling can be achieved by providing means for flushing at least parts of the tube with gas/sterile air between individual sampling steps. The invention furthermore relates to a method of operation of such a device.
