  • Patent number: 8956160
Abstract: An oral care agent delivery device is provided which comprises a permanently deformable backing layer, an anchor layer overtop the backing layer, and an oral care layer overtop the anchor layer. The device is sized to fit over a plurality of teeth in an upper or lower dental arch of a subject. The oral care layer comprises at least one oral care agent and at least one hydrophilic polymer. The oral care layer is in contact with the anchor layer and forms an adhesive bond with the anchor layer; however, the oral care layer is minimally invested in the anchoring layer. When hydrated, the oral care layer has an adhesiveness relative to the surface of a user's teeth that is sufficient to retain the device on the user's teeth when placed thereon. The device can also have an oral care agent which is activated on hydration of the oral care layer, or an oral care layer which releases the oral care agent over time.

  • Publication number: 20090017718
Abstract: A partially deformable toy support member comprising a bar having a resilient center section and a pair of deformable end sections. The resilient center section has an initial shape and is configured to return to the initial shape after deflection. The deformable end sections are able to retain shape once reconfigured. The bar includes at least one cushioning cover covering at least one of the center section and the end sections. The bar is configured to have toys supported therefrom and is configured to be connected to an infant supporting element.

  • Patent number: 6412662
Abstract: An applicator gun for dispensing hot melt adhesive comprises a hydraulic material supply hose connection, an electrical power cable connection, and a hanger bracket connection. The hose connection may be inverted, and the power cable and hanger bracket connections interchanged so as to provide the applicator gun with different orientation capabilities. The applicator gun may also alternatively accommodate four-finger and two-finger trigger members, and the gun may be connected to the hose connection so as to be movable in alternative modes comprising rotation around a single linear axis or universal movement within six degrees of freedom.

  • Patent number: 6073285
Abstract: A mobile support unit such as an IV stand or the like coupled to a mobile hospital bed, gurney or wheelchair by a latch mechanism which provides hands free operation thereby avoiding the need for a nurse or care provider to manually manipulate the latch to secure the units together for tandem transport. Further, the latch mechanism according to this invention includes a clutch which prevents relative movement of the IV stand or support unit with respect to the hospital bed during transport up to a specific adjustable torque level thereby avoiding the problem of the IV stand or support unit swinging freely relative to the bed during movement. Further, the clutch permits movement of the IV stand or support unit through an arc relative to the bed when a specified force is applied as required by the nurse or care provider to reposition the stand or support unit relative to the bed and provide increased access to the patient or the like.
