  • Patent number: 11941896
Abstract: A system including a respiration detection device configured to detect respiration of an individual within a defined environment regardless of a position of the individual within the defined environment wherein detection is performed at a location unobstructed by a physical barrier within the defined environment, a processor with non-transitory computer readable medium configured to evaluate respiration data from the respiration detection device to determine the individual based on a location of the individual within the defined environment and a notification device to provide notification when the individual is detected in the defined environment after at least one of a defined time period and a reduction in respiration. A method is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210196842
Abstract: New methodologies for site-specifically radiolabeling proteins with the PET isotope [1SF] are required to generate high quality radiotracers for imaging in both the preclinical and clinical settings. The enzymatic radiofluorination overcomes many of the limitations encountered to date with purely chemical approaches. The bacterial enzyme lipoic acid ligase was used to conjugate [18F]-fluorooctanoic acid to both a small peptide and a Fab antibody fragment. Labeling was site-specific and highly efficient under mild aqueous conditions using small amounts of peptide/protein (1-10 nmol). The labeled construct retained full epitope binding affinity and was stable in mouse serum. Using an optimized reaction scheme, mCi quantities of [18F]-Fab were generated, an amount sufficient for human imaging.

  • Publication number: 20200375579
Abstract: A syringe is coupled to a biopsy needle through a coupling structure that includes a motor-driven element such as a gear to rotate the needle. The motor can oscillate back and forth to cause the needle to oscillate. Structures are described to permit one-handed operation of the device and automatic motor activation based on attaining a desired plunger position. Non-electric motors are described along with a mechanism for axial oscillation of the needle.

  • Patent number: 10816201
Abstract: A liner panel for a combustor of a gas turbine engine includes a rail which at least partially defines an impingement cavity. The rail includes a notch which faces toward the impingement cavity. A method of cooling a wall assembly within a combustor for of a gas turbine engine includes directing air through a support shell and a liner panel to form a pressure drop across the support shell that is less than about 80% of a pressure drop across the combustor and to also form a pressure drop across the liner panel greater than about 20% of the pressure drop across the combustor.
