Publication number: 20240101165Abstract: A locked-axle spring compression system and method configured to raise a rail vehicle wheel off a rail and transport the raised wheel along a rail is presented. In one embodiment, the present disclosure discloses a system that can raise the locked-axle rail wheel off the rail and allowing the locked-axle train to be transported off the main line. One or more coil springs can be disposed between the truck frame and the journal box to distribute the weight of the train and forces acting thereon. The present disclosure provides a technological solution missing from conventional systems by at least providing a platform for an actuator configured to exert a force on one or more train elements to compress the coil springs and allow the locked-axle wheel to be raised off a surface (e.g., railroad track rail), by overcoming the coil spring pressure to raise the wheel off the rail.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: BNSF Railway CompanyInventors: Henry R. Schafer, Mike E. Teaford, Christopher M. Romero, Edward M. Meyers, Timothy Webb, Ryan L. Kimberlin, Larry C. Valentine

Patent number: 11939741Abstract: A work vehicle comprising a frame supported by a ground engaging device. A boom assembly is coupled to the frame. An attachment coupler is coupled to the boom assembly. An electronic data processor is communicatively coupled to a boom actuator, an attachment coupler actuator, a boom sensor, an attachment coupler sensor, and an operator input device. A computer readable storage medium comprising machine readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to receive an operator input and for a tilt forward command, command the boom actuator to move the boom assembly to a frame contact position and then command the attachment coupler actuator to move the attachment coupler towards a lower position. For a tilt rearward command, command the attachment coupler actuator to move the attachment coupler towards an upper position and then command the boom actuator to move the boom assembly towards a raised position.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2019Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: Deere & CompanyInventors: Alex R. Patent number: 7828253Abstract: A portable laptop computer stand comprises a support assembly mounted atop a pedestal. The pedestal includes a base assembly having a post extending upwardly therefrom. The base assembly is supported by a plurality of radially outwardly extending spokes having castors mounted on free ends thereof. The post may include a telescopic mechanism to allow for vertical height adjustment of the support assembly. The support assembly includes a support panel atop of which is mounted the laptop computer in a secured manner via a pair security devices mounted on opposing sides thereof. The support assembly may further include a pull-out drawer, pull-out keyboard tray having a pull-out mouse panel.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2007Date of Patent: November 9, 2010Inventor: Christopher E. Meyer

Patent number: 7658363Abstract: A device for securing a laptop computer to a support panel comprises a pair of security devices each including a vertical member having a pair of prongs extending laterally outwardly therefrom. The laptop computer is securable with the security devices when the laptop computer is in the open position. The security devices are configured to be mountable to the support panel at a spacing greater than the laptop width. Each of the security devices include the prongs which are located above the lower surface of the vertical member at a height greater than a height of the keyboard and which are spaced apart from one another at a distance greater than a thickness of the display monitor. The pairs of prongs extending from respective ones of the vertical members are oriented in facing relationship to one another in order to secure the laptop computer to the support panel.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2007Date of Patent: February 9, 2010Inventor: Christopher E.
