    Abstract: A collapsible light shade for a portable light such as a flashlight having a handle with a collapsible umbrella shade mounted at one end thereof. A collapsible leg assembly is mounted at the other end of the handle for supporting the shade in an upright free-standing position and a strap is secured to the medial portion for releasably securing a portable light to the handle with the light emitting end directed generally upwardly toward the umbrella shade.
