  • Publication number: 20240106136
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a clamp body having a substantially C-shaped configuration defining an interior cavity. A wedge is configured to be inserted into the clamp body. The wedge has a wedge body defining a conductor channel and a plurality of fins extending from the wedge body into the conductor channel. The plurality of fins is oriented to pierce an insulation layer of a conductor when the wedge is inserted into a clamp body.

  • Publication number: 20240047901
Abstract: An electrical set screw connector system is provided. The system includes a connector body and a bit. The connector body has a set screw and a pressure limitation for mechanically and electrically securing a conductor cable therein. The pressure limitation corresponds to a torque limit applied to the set screw. The bit has a torque limiting region that separates a body mating portion from a tool mating portion. The body mating portion operatively mates with the set screw, while the tool mating portion operatively mates with a tool. The torque limiting region shears at the torque limit.

  • Patent number: 9515395
Abstract: A clamp for clamping an electrical terminal terminating an electrical wire to an electrically conductive post includes a saddle and a fastener. The saddle has an inner surface and at least partially circumferentially surrounds the post. A projection on the inner surface of the saddle is received in a hole of the electrical terminal. The fastener fastens the saddle to the post with the projection received in the electrical terminal so as to sandwich the electrical terminal between the post and the saddle.
