  • Patent number: 11970996
Abstract: Devices and methods of rocket propulsion are disclosed. In one aspect, a staged combustion liquid rocket engine with preburner and turbopump unit (TPU) integrated into the structure of the combustion chamber is described. An initial propellant mixture is combusted in a preburner combustion chamber formed as an annulus around a main combustion chamber, the combustion products from the preburner driving the turbine of the TPU and subsequently injected into the main combustion chamber for secondary combustion along with additional propellants, generating thrust through a supersonic nozzle. The preburner inner cylindrical wall is shared with the outer cylindrical wall of the engine's main combustion chamber and the turbine is axially aligned with the main combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 11954776
Abstract: A unified platform obtains, stores, and shares search results based on user profiles or groups with a common interest. User profiles or group profiles may be used to identify categories containing objects related to a common interest, and the objects may be selected for placement in a graphical user interface from which they may be purchased by or for the user. The objects may preferably be virtual objects stored in a virtual locker or other virtual display unit. Users are able to conduct web-based searches for products or services from different websites and store dimensional representations of virtual products or services in a unified platform.

  • Patent number: 11846191
Abstract: Methods and systems for manipulating surface topology of additively manufactured fluid interacting structures, such as additively manufactured heat exchangers or airfoils, and associated additively manufactured articles, are disclosed. In one aspect, an article which interacts with a fluid is imparted with surface topology features which affect performance parameters related to the fluid flow. The topological features may be sequenced, combined, intermixed, and functionally varied in size and form to locally manipulate and co-optimize multiple performance parameters at each or selectable differential lengths along a flow path. The co-optimization method may uniquely prioritize selectable performance parameters at different points along the flow path to improve or enhance overall system performance.

  • Publication number: 20230252609
Abstract: Depth camera settings are adjusted based on characteristics of items presented in a scan zone and based on depth values returned for the items in depth images. Red-Green-Blue (RGB) images and depth images are captured of items within the scan zone. Quality of the depth values are accessed. Bad depth values are replaced with good known depth values. When the depth values are not replaced, one or more depth value interpolation algorithms are selectively processed to enhance the depth values. The depth values are processed to place each item within a specific location of the scan zone and map that location to pixel values in the corresponding RGB images. The pixel values from the RGB images are passed to a classification model and an item code is returned. The item codes are provided to checkout a customer without any scanning of item barcodes of the items.
