Patent number: 11759400Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for transporting and dispensing medications for a patient according to a medication schedule for the patient. A smart container from a pharmacy is received at the patient's site and the container is checked to make sure that the container was delivered to the correct patient site. The smart container contains a memory device that contains identification information of the patient, dosage and treatment instructions for the patient. This information and the medication were checked for compatibility before the smart container was delivered. The identity of the patient at the patient's site is then checked and the patient performs on or more biometric tests before the medication is dispensed by the smart container. Upon taking the medication and providing video proof thereof, the smart container is returned to the pharmacy.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2021Date of Patent: September 19, 2023Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Christopher L. Publication number: 20220159934Abstract: Computer-implemented methods, systems and computer program products leveraging cognitive learning, and machine learning algorithms to predictively identify and monitor animals within a monitoring zone in real-time and identify an occurrence of unwanted or unsafe behaviors being performed by the animals. Surveillance systems and sensors within a monitoring zone or affixed to the animals provide audio/visual data and sensor data describing activity and animals within the monitoring zone. Machine learning models are trained using audio-visual, sensor and historical data to learn to predict the identities of registered animals based on the sight or sound of the animals.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 25, 2020Publication date: May 26, 2022Inventors: Christopher L. Patent number: 11314475Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable customization of content being consumed at a location. More specifically, a plurality of participants is identified as being located within an area. A data source corresponding to each of at least two participants is analyzed for preferences of the participants. Based on this analysis, a set of preferences for the participants is mapped, and this mapping includes linking related preferences of different participants. A sentiment of the plurality of participants is identified based on a real-time data feed that captures actions of the plurality of participants located within the area. A scored set of content is selected based on the mapped set of preferences and the identified sentiment of the plurality of participants.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2018Date of Patent: April 26, 2022Assignee: KYNDRYL, INC.Inventors: Christopher J. Dawson, John M. Ganci, Jr., Christopher L. Molloy, Craig M. Trim

Patent number: 11301230Abstract: A method and system for improving a machine learning multimedia conversion process is provided. The method includes automatically connecting hardware devices to a server hardware device. Audio and/or video data from a meeting between individuals is recorded form a location and each individual is identified via sensor data. Attributes for each user are identified and the audio and/or video data is converted to text data. Portions of the text data are analyzed and associated with each individual. Action items in the text data are identified and assigned to the individuals based on the attributes. Self-learning software code for executing future multimedia conversion processes is generated based on the assigning and the self-learning software code is modified based on results of executing the future multimedia conversion processes.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2018Date of Patent: April 12, 2022Assignee: Kyndryl, Inc.Inventors: Christopher J. Patent number: 11251940Abstract: An approach is provided for deterring a tampering of content. Content is signed by using an asymmetric key cryptography. The signed content is stored in a distributed ledger which is accessible to a plurality of subscribers of the distributed ledger. The signing of the content using the asymmetric key cryptography together with the storing of the signed content in the distributed ledger provide a non-repudiable identification of an owner of the content and a non-repudiable proof of an ownership of the content.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2019Date of Patent: February 15, 2022Assignee: Kyndryl, Inc.Inventors: Michael C. Davis, Robert S. Milligan, Gordan G. Greenlee, Christopher L. Molloy, Steven A. Waite

Patent number: 11176209Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for improving query searches. After receiving a query from a user to conduct a content search, the query is analyzed for its semantic meaning and a categorized group of query tags and content tags in the central repository that is most semantically similar in meaning to the meaning of the query is identified. Furthermore, the content tags and query tags in the user's repository are analyzed to determine the interests of the user. The query may then be augmented to include one or more other terms of interest from the identified categorized group of query tags and content tags in the central repository that match the determined interests of the user within a threshold degree of relatedness, where these other terms of interest correspond to the content tags and query tags of the identified categorized group based on their assigned weight.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 2019Date of Patent: November 16, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Michael C. Patent number: 10901806Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable optimization of a plurality of resources connected within an Internet of Things (IoT) network. More specifically, usage of a first and a second resource of the plurality of resources connected within the IoT network is tracked. This usage comprises a task and a time at which the task is performed for each of the two resources. An anticipated task at an anticipated time based on the tracked usage of the first resource is identified. An anticipated capacity at substantially the same anticipated time is also identified on the second resource based on the tracked usage of the second resource. Excess capacity is generated on the first resource by transferring the anticipated first task to the second resource for the anticipated time. The excess capacity is designated for use by an arm's-length party. A load from the arm's-length party is then assigned to the excess capacity.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2018Date of Patent: January 26, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Christopher L. Publication number: 20200364638Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The methods include, for instance: collecting inputs of relevant contracts and invoices from one or more information technology (IT) service systems. Information on one or more IT services and one or more IT resources corresponding to an IT service of the one or more IT services is extracted from the inputs. An IT service system provisions the IT service to an IT client by using the one or more IT resources. A capacity demand in a timeframe on an IT resource is forecasted based on the information from the extracting. A solution to procure an item that meets the forecasted capacity demand is selected and optimized IT portfolio including the item and the solution is produces to optimize an IT portfolio.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 14, 2019Publication date: November 19, 2020Inventors: Christopher L.
