  • Publication number: 20150013134
Abstract: A lifting connector to facilitate the lifting of wear parts used on earthmoving equipment is mechanically secured to a hole in the wear part. The wear part has a latching formation to maintain the head of the connector in a preferred orientation so that it is in the proper service position for connecting the lifting connector to a lifting device. The wear part can be safely maneuvered onto and off of the earthmoving equipment while secured to the lifting device.

  • Patent number: 8839535
Abstract: A wear assembly for excavating equipment which includes a wear member and a base each with upper and lower stabilizing surfaces that are offset and at overlapping depths to reduce the overall depth of the assembly while maintaining high strength and a stable coupling. The nose and socket each includes a generally triangular-shaped front stabilizing end to provide a highly stable front connection between the nose and wear member for both vertical and side loading. The lock is movable between hold and release positions to accommodate replacing of the wear member when needed, and secured to the wear member for shipping and storage purposes.

  • Publication number: 20140151475
Abstract: Shredder hammers having first and second major surfaces on opposing sides, and a circumferential edge. A mounting portion includes a mounting hole that extends from the first major surface to the second major surface, and is configured to receive a hammer mounting pin for mounting in a reducing system. The circumferential edge includes a primary impact face to initially impact materials to be reduced and a wear edge to subsequently crush and shear the material against a wall of the equipment. The hammer is biased forward on the pin to admit more material to be crushed between the wear edge and the grates.

  • Publication number: 20140034765
Abstract: A wear assembly for use on a driven roll for earth-working machines and the like operations that eases replacement of the wear parts, lengthens the life of the bases, reduces the amount of throw-away material to be discarded, and has a lower manufacturing cost. The wear part overlies and protects the base to prolong the useable life of the base, lessen machine downtime, and reduce throw-away material. The use of an overlying adapter eases and speeds replacement of the wear parts to further limit downtime of the machine. The wear part is preferably a two-piece component with no machined parts for a lower manufacturing cost and easy replacement.
