  • Patent number: 9359151
Abstract: A fluid-based radial distribution system includes an internal passageway and a plurality of openings radially spaced around the internal passageway. A plurality of gate members are associated with at least some of the plurality of openings, with the gate members are configured to move between an open position that allows product to move through the opening associated with that gate member and a closed position that restricts product from moving through the opening associated with that gate member.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 25, 2014
Date of Patent: June 7, 2016
Assignee: ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston, Inc.
Inventors: William Thomas Hockett, Frederick D. Webb, Michael Christopher Metcalf, Ronald R. Huff, Charles Denio Kirkbride, Greg Robert Lambier, Dave Hufford

  • Publication number: 20130106573
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and device whereby the occupant of a room can notify those outside the room that the occupant prefers no one enter the room, entry occur only after knocking, or unrestricted entry. Commonly understood symbolism is utilized so that a red indicator notifies that no entry is desired, a yellow indicator notifies that knocking should occur before entry, and a green indicator notifies that unrestricted or silent entry is permitted. The indicators can be remotely controlled by means of a control mechanism inside the room to allow someone inside the room to control the easily understood notice which can be viewed on an exterior wall of the room.

  • Publication number: 20120067066
Abstract: A freeze tunnel can have a conveyor configured to move food product from a first end to a second end. At least one first cooling unit and at least one first fan can be positioned on the first side of the conveyor, and at least one second cooling unit and at least one second fan can be positioned on the second side of the conveyor. The fans can cooperate to circulate air inside the freeze tunnel in two opposite rotational directions.

  • Patent number: 6157702
Abstract: In an X-ray tube target, a shaft is welded to the anode target, the shaft typically being TZM or a molybdenum alloy. This defines a first weld location and creates an integral shaft-target assembly. The shaft-target assembly is then machined. A heat sink material, such as graphite, is brazed to the integral shaft-target assembly. A hub is then welded to the shaft, at an end opposite the target, defining a second weld location and creating a hub-target assembly. The hub can be columbium or columbium alloy. Subsequently, the hub-target assembly can be machined. Having a dual weld procedure, and eliminating the subsequent brazing step to join the hub to the shaft, enables the alloys to maintain their high strength without annealing, thereby allowing the shaft materials to keep their high strength and reducing plastic deformation at the lower (hub) portion of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4470229
Abstract: A telescopic boom for a crane, access or load platform or the like, having power transmission lines extending along the boom to its head. In order to avoid problems which arise with such power lines when the bottom is extended or retracted the invention proposes the use of a flexible carrier which extends between a point at the outer end of the base section and a point mid way along the extended sections of the boom between the head and the end of the base section. This enables the power lines to be protected both when the boom is extended and when it is retracted.
