  • Patent number: 10056874
Abstract: Temperature compensation circuits and methods for adjusting one or more circuit parameters of a power amplifier (PA) to maintain approximately constant Gain versus time during pulsed operation sufficient to substantially offset self-heating of the PA. Some embodiments compensate for PA Gain “droop” due to self-heating using a Sample and Hold (S&H) circuit. The S&H circuit samples and holds an initial temperature of the PA at commencement of a pulse. Thereafter, the S&H circuit generates a continuous measurement that corresponds to the temperature of the PA during the remainder of the pulse. A Gain Control signal is generated that is a function of the difference between the initial temperature and the operating temperature of the PA as the PA self-heats for the duration of the pulse. The Gain Control signal is applied to one or more adjustable or tunable circuits within a PA to offset the Gain droop of the PA.

  • Publication number: 20180099124
Abstract: A system for crossing a heart valve with a guidewire includes an advancement motor and a controller. The controller controls when the advancement motor advances and retracts the guidewire. The controller is coupled to an electrocardiogram device and determines the systolic and diastolic phase of the heart from information/data from the electrocardiogram device. The guidewire advances or retracts based on the controller's determination of the systolic or diastolic phase corresponding with the heart valve being in an open configuration. The system may include a catheter including a lumen through which the guidewire is disposed. The system may further include a sensor. The sensor is in communication with the controller, and the controller will stop advancement of the guidewire if the controller determines the guidewire has not advanced between open leaflets of the heart valve based upon information/data from the sensor.

  • Publication number: 20180083578
Abstract: Bias circuits and methods for silicon-based amplifier architectures that are tolerant of supply and bias voltage variations, bias current variations, and transistor stack height, and compensate for poor output resistance characteristics. Embodiments include power amplifiers and low-noise amplifiers that utilize a cascode reference circuit to bias the final stages of a cascode amplifier under the control of a closed loop bias control circuit. The closed loop bias control circuit ensures that the current in the cascode reference circuit is approximately equal to a selected multiple of a known current value by adjusting the gate bias voltage to the final stage of the cascode amplifier. The final current through the cascode amplifier is a multiple of the current in the cascode reference circuit, based on a device scaling factor representing the relative sizes of the transistor devices in the cascode amplifier and in the cascode reference circuit.

  • Patent number: 9913585
Abstract: A catheter is disclosed for providing pressure measurements at a vascular lesion. The catheter includes an outer component having a side opening the providing transverse access to a lumen thereof and an inner component slidably disposed within the lumen. The inner component has a guidewire lumen with a proximal side port. When the inner component is longitudinally translated relative to the outer component, the side port of the inner component is accessible through the side opening of the outer component for providing transverse access to a guidewire. A first pressure sensor is disposed proximate of a distal end of the outer component and a second pressure sensor is disposed proximate of a distal end of the inner component, such that relative longitudinal translation between the inner and outer components permits a distance between the first and second pressure sensors to be varied.

  • Patent number: 9907048
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating reference signatures for use in geolocation in a cellular wireless communication system is provided. A first signature for a mobile communication unit comprises location information, a timestamp, and radio frequency measurement information obtained by a mobile communication unit at a location, but does not contain identification information for the mobile communication unit. The first signature is compared to signatures in a database, to identify a second signature that has a timestamp and radio frequency measurement information that correspond to those of the first signature. A reference signature is created by combining at least a part of the first signature with at least a part of the second signature. Repetition of the comparison and combination steps creates a database of reference signatures, for use in geolocating other received call signatures.

  • Patent number: 9544732
Abstract: A cellular wireless communications system and method of generating reference signatures for use in geolocation are provided. The cellular wireless communications system identifies a sub-area within the coverage area of a cellular wireless communications system, the sub-area having a density of radio frequency measurements that is below a threshold value. A user of a subscriber mobile communication unit is influenced to enter the sub-area, the subscriber mobile communication unit being a subscriber to the cellular wireless communications system. The cellular wireless communications system obtains radio frequency measurements from the subscriber mobile communication unit in the sub-area, and generates reference signatures and/or location estimates from the radio frequency measurements. The reference signatures may be used to geolocate connections made by other mobile communication units within the sub-areas.

  • Publication number: 20170004314
Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are provided for data virtualization using copy data tokens. A data token is stored that defines attributes associated with copy data, including source data, transformation data, and access data for the copy data. The access data is indicative of a set of access settings for the copy data that define how an instance of the copy data is to be created for the user, and a set of access permissions for the copy data that define an access level for the user for the copy data that defines how much of the copy data the user can access. The data token is transmitted to a remote computer storing the copy data based on the source data in the data token. A copy of the copy data that was generated based on the preparation information and the access data is received.

  • Publication number: 20170004154
Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are provided for integrating copy data tokens with source code repositories. A first command associated with the version control system stores in the memory a copy of source code and a copy of the data token from the remote repository, comprising source data and mount data. A second command associated with the version control system is executed to create a version of the source code stored in the memory. Based on the execution of the second command a working copy of the copy data is created based on the data token for use with the version of the source code, comprising creating a copy of the copy data from the data source based on the source data, and mounting the working copy to the device based on the mount data, thereby automatically managing the copy data for the version control system.
