  • Patent number: 7465121
Abstract: A hand trowel for vibrating concrete in order to smooth the concrete. The trowel has a blade, a handle mounted on the blade, and electrical components including a motor inside the handle. When the switch is turned on, the motor causes the handle to vibrate, which in turn transmits vibrations to the blade and to the concrete surfaces that come in contact with the blade.

  • Patent number: 6747995
Abstract: A system that provides additional voice lines with data over a single two-wire subscriber loop. At the subscriber premise, one or more telephone instruments and data devices are connected to a digital modem into either a voice or a data interface. Analog voice signals are PCM sampled then packetized, and voice and data packets are transmitted to a CO modem over the subscriber loop. The CO modem depacketizes the voice packets into PCM format and transmits PCM voice information to a CO switch over a standard digital trunk interface. Data packets are routed to a data network. Voice packets are given transmission priority over data packets to ensures that voice is transported in the presence of data with low latency.

  • Patent number: 5633634
Abstract: A data conversion circuit that acts as an interface between components or systems having different data input/output rate requirements. A circuit reads data transmitted at one bit rate and transmits data consisting of the input data along with overhead data interleaved with the input data in a fixed pattern at a faster bit rate. Also disclosed is a circuit that operates to read data at a faster bit rate and transmit data consisting of the input data stripped of interleaved overhead data at a slower bit rate. Data is written into and read from a register array that allows data to be concurrently and independently written and read. A suitable delay is introduced on the output side in order to avoid read/write collisions in the register array and achieve a minimum transmission delay.
