    Abstract: Systems and methods for managing and sharing electronic medical records are provided. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving health care information from a health care provider or a health care institution. A determination is made as to whether or not a user is registered to receive health care information on a mobile device. The health care information is transmitted to the mobile device based at least in part on a determination that the user is registered. The health care information may also be transmitted to the mobile device based at least in part on an occurrence of a triggering event. The triggering event can occur while a patient is receiving health care or after a patient has received health care. The health care information may be received from an electronic medical record system or from a web portal.
