Publication number: 20230251019Abstract: An enclosure has a door that can be opened from one of two sides by the operation of one of two handles that extend along opposing vertical sides of the door. Each handle can move corresponding upper and lower latch bars that allow that same side of the door to be selectively released from one set of hinge pins that are affixed to the enclosure and allow the door to pivot about another set of hinge pins on the opposite side. Guide pins on the hinge side engage arcuate guide channels as the door pivots, preventing the door from being detached once pivoted about one of the axes. When the latch bars are moved to the release position on one side, the latch bars on the opposite side are prevented from being moved to the release position at the same time.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 8, 2022Publication date: August 10, 2023Inventors: Wayne Kaylor, Christopher S. Greer

Publication number: 20220322877Abstract: A modular cooking appliance for cooking a variety of foods has interchangeable tops and a base to receive the tops. The base has a burner that is fed from a fuel supply and controlled by a valve. The interchangeable tops mate to an open top. One of the interchangeable tops is a grill grate that fits in the open top. Another interchangeable top is a griddle with a flat cooking surface. The griddle mates to the open top and is kept spaced from the base to allow exhaust gases to escape. Another interchangeable top is a pizza oven with a stone portion and a dome portion. The stone portion directs exhaust gases from the burner into the dome portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 9, 2021Publication date: October 13, 2022Applicant: Way Interglobal Network, LLCInventors: Christopher S. Patent number: 9701285Abstract: A stabilizing jack includes a base frame and a slide frame and a leg connected to the base frame and to the slide frame. The leg may be selectively extended into contact with a mating surface and retracted from the extended position. Locking pins disposed on either of the base frame and the slide frame may selectively engage with pin-receiving apertures on the other of the base frame and the slide frame when the leg is placed in the extended position and disengaged from the apertures when the leg is retracted from the extended position.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2016Date of Patent: July 11, 2017Assignee: LIPPERT COMPONENTS, INC.Inventors: Michael J. Fiwek, Jeffrey K. Albrecht, Christopher S. Greer

Patent number: 9410326Abstract: A retractable awning system includes an awning and a support structure therefor. The support structure includes a base and first, second, and third support arms. The awning is attached to a roller connected to the third support arm and to another structure. A telescopic actuator coupled to the first and second support arms is configured to bias the first, second, and third support arms to a deployed state. The awning may be wound onto the roller. Tension in the awning resulting from the rolling process causes the support structure to transition to a collapsed position.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2014Date of Patent: August 9, 2016Assignee: LIPPERT COMPONENTS, INC.Inventors: Jeffrey K. Albrecht, Zachery B. Nelson, Andrew J. Papczynski, Brian M. Worthman, Michael J. Fiwek, David G. Skinner, Christopher S. Greer

Publication number: 20160107708Abstract: A pin box includes a frame, a swing arm pivotally connected to the frame, and a pivot plate pivotally connected to the swing arm. An air spring disposed between the frame and swing arm may be selectively compressed and decompressed. A dampener connected between the swing arm and the frame dampens movement of the swing arm with respect to the frame. A rubber spring disposed between the pivot plate and the swing arm is selectively compressible there between when the pivot plate pivots with respect to the swing arm.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2015Publication date: April 21, 2016Inventors: Michael J. FIWEK, Jeffrey K. ALBRECHT, Christopher S. GREER

Patent number: 9175481Abstract: A retractable awning having a roller, a flexible canopy having one end secured to the roller and rollable onto the roller, and a motor operable to rotate the roller to roll the flexible canopy onto or off the roller. The motor includes a protective housing, with a manual motor override on the motor within the housing. An aperture in the housing proximate the override is aligned with and permits access to the override through the aperture.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2012Date of Patent: November 3, 2015Assignee: LIPPERT COMPONENTS, INC.Inventors: Jeffrey K. Patent number: 8950460Abstract: A retractable awning with is moveable between an extended position where the awning is deployed for use and a retracted position where the awning is stowed out of use. The awning includes a light source mounted on a roller tube, with the light source being exposed to a living area beneath the awning when the awning is in the extended position. A contact assembly provides electrical power to the light source, with the contact assembly comprising engaging rotatable and stationary segments.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2012Date of Patent: February 10, 2015Assignee: Lippert Components, Inc.Inventors: Brian M. Publication number: 20140262070Abstract: A method of creating a living space beneath an awning with added ambient sound, a retractable awning with added ambient sound and a head for a retractable awning having a speaker. The awning has a canopy secured to an awning roller with the roller mounted between opposite awning heads. A speaker is mounted in at least one of the heads for directing sound away from the head. In a retracted position of the awning, sound is directed away from the living space created beneath the awning when it is deployed, and in the deployed position with the awning extended, sound is directed into the living space.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2013Publication date: September 18, 2014Applicant: Lippert Components, Inc.Inventors: Christopher S.
