  • Patent number: 11996004
Abstract: A flight school credentialing and verification system uses software tools to implement flight school functionality, including scheduling flight course sessions, customizing flight course sessions, and integrating third party tools, all in accordance with safety requirements as established by a regulatory body. For example, a flight school credentialing and verification software application may determine whether credential items of a user satisfy credential definitions defined for a flight course. Responsive to a determination that the credential items satisfy the credential definitions, an availability of one or more resources of a flight school used for the flight course can be verified, and, responsive to that verification, one or more candidate flight course registrations are determined. A flight course output indicative of a selected flight course registration is then generated.

  • Publication number: 20160027335
Abstract: A flight training image recording apparatus includes a housing comprising one or more cameras. The housing and/or separate cameras in a cockpit are mounted in locations to capture images of the pilot, the pilot's hands, the aircraft instrument panel and a field of view to the front of the aircraft. The recorded images are date and time synced along with aircraft location, speed and other telemetry signals and cockpit and control tower audio signals into a multiplexed audio and visual stream. The multiplexed audio and video stream is downloaded either wirelessly to a remote processor or to a portable memory device which can be input to the remote processor. The remote processor displays multiple camera images that are time-stamped synced along with cockpit audio signals and aircraft telemetry for pilot training.
