  • Publication number: 20230274198
Abstract: A computing device can include a spontaneous meeting component that assists the user to quickly and efficiently find a meeting room for a spontaneous meeting. The spontaneous meeting component can find one or more available meeting rooms in response to the user's selection of a user interface element that indicates a request to identify an available meeting room for the spontaneous meeting. Advantageously, the spontaneous meeting component can be configured to automatically identify one or more available meeting rooms, without requiring any additional user input other than the user's selection of the user interface element. The spontaneous meeting component can be configured to determine an estimated current location of the computing device and an estimated duration of the spontaneous meeting. The proposed meeting room can be identified based at least in part on the estimated current location of the computing device and the estimated duration of the spontaneous meeting.

  • Patent number: 11379798
Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for surfacing content related to electronic calendar events are presented. An electronic calendar event library may be maintained. One or more calendar events that meet threshold time criteria in relation to a current time may be identified. One or more rules may be applied to the identified events to determine whether contextual information and/or actions should be surfaced in relation to those events. In some examples, an event priority score may be calculated for each of the identified events. Contextual information and/or actions associated with events with event priority scores that exceed a threshold value may be surfaced. The contextual information and/or actions may be prioritized based on the event priority scores.

  • Publication number: 20210133688
Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe systems, methods, and devices for identifying events comprising one or more issues and for generating, surfacing, and interacting with event triage notifications in a zero-query environment. An input to access a application interface may be received. An event comprising one or more unresolved issues may be identified. A notification may be surfaced on the application interface. The notification may be selectable to resolve the event's one or more unresolved issue. The application interface may be associated with an event organizer and/or an event invitee and may be accesses via a mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10728593
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for facilitating uninterrupted playback of video streams using lower quality cached files. A video file corresponding to an entirety of a video content feature encoded at a first quality may be obtained from another client on a local network. A video stream corresponding to the video content feature encoded at a second quality higher than the first quality is then obtained. The video stream is rendered for playback on a display. In response to detecting an unavailability of the video stream at a particular time in the video content feature, the video file is rendered for playback on the display in place of the video stream and commences at the particular time in the video content feature. The video file may then be sent to yet another client on the local network.

  • Patent number: 10257556
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for determining whether a client device is authorized to receive media content based at least in part on the call signs of broadcast stations that the client device is able to receive. A computing device receives a broadcast station identifier and a program identifier from a client computing device. The computing device determines that the client computing device is authorized to access media content identified by the program identifier based at least in part on the broadcast station identifier. Finally, the computing device streams the media content to the client computing device in response to determining that the client computing device is authorized to access the media content.
