The input device has a display device with a touch-sensitive surface in such a manner that inputs can be made by touching the surface. The display device at least occasionally displays a first symbol in a first region of the surface. A first input is able to be made by touching this symbol. The display device at least occasionally displays a second symbol in a second region of the surface. A second input is able to be made by touching the second symbol.
