    Abstract: An electricity-generating Savonius-type wind turbine apparatus has a pair of blades configured helically around a central axis. The wind turbine apparatus is modular and sectional such that each section includes a pair of blades useful for being pushed by wind to generate electricity via an attached electrical generator. Further, a series of modular wind turbine sections generates electrically via an attached electrical generator. The wind turbine apparatus further includes one or more airfoils attached to an axis of rotation for aiding in the rotation of the central axis for generating electricity.
