  • Publication number: 20210258401
Abstract: Managing organization disconnections from a shared resource of a communication platform is described. In a sharing approval repository of a communication platform, a shared resource can be associated with a host organization identifier and a non-host organization identifier. In an example, in response to receiving, from a user computing device associated with the host organization identifier or the non-host organization identifier, a resource disconnection request comprising a disconnecting organization identifier and a resource identifier associated with the shared resource, the sharing approval repository can be updated to add a disconnection indication for the resource identifier in association with the disconnecting organization identifier.

  • Publication number: 20210255744
Abstract: Techniques for updating a user interface associated with a communication platform are described herein. The communication platform can enable communications between two or more organizations, such as via a shared resource. The shared resource can include a communication channel, workspace, direct messaging instance, board, or other resource associated with messaging communications. In some examples, the communication platform can receive a request to view a shared resource and can identify two or more organizations associated with the shared resource. Based on the identified two or more organizations, the communication platform can cause a user interface to be presented on a computing device associated with the request. The user interface can include indicators and/or data associated with the two or more organizations, such as to provide an indication that messages transmitted via the shared resource will be shared with members of different organizations.

  • Patent number: 11095657
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products that provide for an improved, more efficient, and more stable system of networked computing devices. The embodiments disclose an apparatus and system that enable client devices to selectively grant to third party applications permissions to access group-based communication objects of a group-based communication system. The apparatus and system further enable client devices to selectively grant to third party applications permissions to take specific actions with regards to the group-based communication objects within the system. To accomplish the improvements, the disclosed systems, apparatuses, and computing devices maintain a record of the permissions granted to third party applications in a permissions table stored in a computer storage device.

  • Patent number: 10955009
Abstract: A number of variations may include a product including a single clutch pack having a plurality of clutch plates, and a first friction material on a first plate of the plurality of clutch plates, and a second friction material on a second plate of the plurality of plates, the first friction material being different than the second friction material, and constructed and arranged to provide a tailored combination of torque capacity and response time that would be produced by a clutch pack having solely the first friction material on plates thereof or the second friction material on plates thereof.

  • Patent number: 10948028
Abstract: A driveline component with a shaft, a friction clutch and a centrifugal valve. The shaft has a supply passage and a feed passage that intersects the supply passage. The centrifugal valve has a valve seat, which is formed on the shaft and intersects the feed passage, a valve element and a flyweight that is pivotally coupled to the shaft. The valve element is received in the valve seat and is movable between a first position, in which the valve element is abutted against the valve seat, and a second position in which the valve element is displaced from the valve seat. The flyweight has a weight and a cam and is configured so that radially outward rotation of the weight in response to centrifugal force causes the cam to drive the valve element toward the first position.

  • Patent number: 10948566
Abstract: A new asynchronous localization method for a network of nodes and transmitters, the position of at least one of the nodes and/or transmitters being known, involves receiving a first signal directly from a first transmitter at a first node of a first node pair, receiving the first signal relayed from a second node of the first node pair at the first node, and determining the delay at the first node between the direct and relayed first signal by comparing the direct and relayed first signals. This may be repeated with the first node acting as relay to determine the delay at the second node. Time difference of arrival and/or time of flight between first and second nodes may be determined using the determined delay at the first and/or second node and/or known node locations. The process is repeated for additional transmitters/node pairs until sufficient information is determined for desired applications.

  • Patent number: 10951564
Abstract: Techniques are described for expediting a generation of a direct messaging instance between two people associated with different organizations. A first person associated with a communication platform may submit a request to the communication platform to generate an invitation to communicate via the direct messaging instance. The first person may provide the invitation to a second person directly or via the communication platform. Responsive to receiving an indication that the second person has accepted the invitation, the communication platform may generate a direct messaging instance between the first person and the second person. The communication platform may update respective user interfaces to include the direct messaging instance. The communication platform may process messages and/or data between the first person and the second person that is input on the respective user interface and sent via the direct messaging instance.

  • Patent number: 10851846
Abstract: A power transmitting component that includes a clutch, a valve and a ball ramp mechanism. The clutch has a hub, a housing, a clutch pack and an apply plate. The clutch pack has sets of friction plates that are mounted to the hub and the housing. The valve includes a valve element, which is received in a bore in the hub, an inlet and an outlet. The ball ramp mechanism has first and second ball ramp rings and is operable for selectively translating the apply plate to compress the friction plates against the housing as well as for translating the valve element to open the valve. The second ball ramp ring is coupled to the hub for rotation therewith. The first ball ramp ring is rotatable relative to the second ball ramp ring.

  • Publication number: 20200282517
Abstract: Reduced noise abrasive blasting assemblies and systems are described. The new assemblies and systems are comprised of standard blast hose, accelerator hose, couplings and nozzle. The improved abrasive blasting system maintains abrasive particle velocity while decreasing the exit gas velocity and consequently decreasing sound production. This is accomplished through an acceleration section with reduced inner diameter and sufficient length to provide the necessary abrasive particle velocity. The new system maintains the productivity and efficiency of conventional abrasive blasting systems but with greatly reduced acoustic noise production and reduces operator fatigue due to the lower weight of the carried portion of the system.

  • Publication number: 20200279070
Abstract: Provided is a group-based communication interface, on a computing device, configured to display a defined preview of a resource. The computing device receives a group-based message including a resource request that identifies a requested resource and a resource address. The computing device compares the resource address with a list of subscribed resource addresses and determines from the comparison of the resource address and the subscribed resource addresses that the resource address is associated with a resource provider and is thus a subscribed resource address. In response to determining that the resource address is the subscribed resource address, the computing device provides a defined preview request comprising authentication information to the resource provider, receives defined preview data from the resource provider, and renders the defined preview of the resource based on the defined preview data to the group-based communication interface associated with the group-based message.

  • Patent number: 10759084
Abstract: A shock consolidation material manufacturing method involves combining a nanoscale additive and ceramic nanoparticles to create a nano-powder, compacting the nano-powder mechanically, and performing shock-wave consolidation on the compacted nano-powder. The ceramic nanoparticles may be Yttria-stabilized tetragonal Zirconia (YSZ) or Samarium doped Ceria (SDC). The nanopowder may be CNT-YSZ or SDC-Na2CO3. The shock-wave consolidation may be performed with a laser, and may involve positioning the nano-powder on a support material, placing an ablative layer over the support material and nano-powder, placing a transparent re-usable capping layer over the ablative layer, and directing laser energy at the capping layer, turning an area of the ablative layer below the capping layer into plasma and generating shock waves through the nano-powder and support material.
