Abstract: A personal base station (PBS) having wireless video capability. The PBS authenticates a mobile device within range for cellular services, and authenticates the user for a level of service for cable television. The PBS operates in accordance with a dual-purpose subscriber identity system (SIS) includes a subscriber mobile identity component (SMIC) and a video security component (VSC) such that the cellular and television services can be authenticated. Mobile devices incorporating the disclosed innovations, as well as the PBS, can access video content from a cable television provider through any available broadband link, regardless of the mobile device's physical location.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for ranking electronic information based on determined similarities. In one aspect a set of unique features are determined from a collection of electronic objects. A graph is constructed in which electronic object are represented as object nodes and determined features are represented as feature nodes. The object nodes are interconnected by a weighted edge to at least one feature node. Scores for the object nodes and the feature nodes are computed using a determined set of anchor nodes and a determined weighted adjacency matrix. The object nodes and the feature nodes of the graph are ranked and displayed based on the computed scores. In one aspect, the scores and the ranks for the object nodes and the feature nodes are dynamically updated and displayed based on user preferences.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed that relate to tracking one or more objects during a process that utilizes the objects. For example, one embodiment provides a method for monitoring performance of a process involving one or more objects, wherein the method includes receiving a set of rules defining one or more portions of the process and receiving object identification information regarding the one or more objects. The method further includes, for a selected portion of the process, receiving image information of a physical scene, identifying from the image information and the object identification information an operation performed with an identified object in the physical scene, and taking an action based upon whether the operation satisfies a rule of the set of rules associated with the selected portion of the process.

Abstract: Systems and methods for producing ultrasound images are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, ultrasound image data are acquired in discrete time increments at one or more positions relative to a subject. Control points are added by a user for two or more image frames and a processor interpolates the location of the control points for image frames obtained at in-between times.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for automated tracking of inventory levels in storage bins. In one embodiment, among others, an adjustable bin divider may comprise a supporting base that has a receiving slot at an end, the receiving slot comprising a slide channel that extends along a top portion of the supporting base; a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag that is attached to the supporting base; and a radio frequency (RF)-blocking slide divider that comprises a first panel with an RF shield and a second panel that has a narrowed end, the first panel being connected to the second panel at the narrowed end, the first panel being inserted in the receiving slot, the narrowed end fitting within the slide channel of the receiving slot, wherein the RF-blocking slide divider conceals the RFID tag from detection from an RFID reader at a position along the slide channel.

An exemplary system includes a GUI that displays a window to the user, and displays data element icons within the window representing an initial set of data elements from the data collection. Visual properties of the data element icons indicate the relevance of the data elements in the initial set to the data collection. The GUI receives input from the user selecting a data element icon within the window. Selection of the data element icon assigns a corresponding data element in the initial set as an initial anchor set. The GUI displays another window to the user, displays an anchor icon for the initial anchor set, and displays the data element icons representing a relevant set of data elements. Visual properties of the data element icons indicate the relevance of the data elements in the relevant set to the initial anchor set.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for paginating documents such as html documents is disclosed. A document viewing engine generates a preliminary layout for the, the preliminary layout having a layout width that is equivalent to a viewport width of a viewport on which the document will be displayed. The document viewing engine computes a final layout for the document based on determining a plurality of horizontal pixel lines where page breaks can be placed without cutting off any element in the document and assigns page breaks to one or more of the plurality of horizontal pixel lines based on a height of the viewport. The document viewing engine identifies, for a current page, one or more visual elements that will not be fully within the viewport if painted. The document viewing engine paints the current page without painting the identified one or more visual elements.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed that relate to producing a synthetic environmental model derived from a three dimensional representation of an environment, and rendering images from the model. For example, one disclosed embodiment provides a method including detecting a trigger to build the synthetic environmental model utilizing the three dimensional representation of the environment, and, in response to the trigger, obtaining a set of synthetic image elements for use in constructing the synthetic environmental model. The method further includes fitting one or more elements from the set of synthetic image elements to the three dimensional representation of the environment according to a set of rules to produce the synthetic environmental model, and rendering an image from the synthetic environmental model for display, the image showing the one or more elements from the set of synthetic image elements replacing real-world topography in the environment.

Abstract: A discharge system that includes a flexitank having product stored therein and a discharge port. The discharge port is selectively fluidly connected to a first or second heat exchanger input port. The first heat exchanger has an outlet port that is in selective communication with either a second heat exchanger input port, or a discharge location. The second heat exchanger has an outlet port in selective fluid communication with discharge location. The first heat exchanger transfers heat to product flowing through the first heat exchanger; and the second heat exchanger removes heat from product flowing through the second heat exchanger.

Abstract: An oxygenated cardioplegic composition for immediate reperfusion of a donor heart after its procurement. The composition comprises an adenosine-lidocaine mixture for causing immediate cessation of the heart's systolic function upon contact; a normokalemic concentration of potassium ions; a concentration of Ca2+ ions selected to maintain the intracellular level of Ca2+ ions in the harvested heart muscle cells at about 10?4 mmol/L; and a pH of 6.9. The oxygenated cardioplegic composition is pre-warmed to about 35° C. and then used for immediate reperfusion of a donor heart for at least three minutes after its procurement.

Abstract: A contextual language learning capability is disclosed. The contextual language learning capability is configured to enable an end user to use knowledge of a first language to learn a second language. The contextual language learning capability is configured to modify source content (in which content is provided in the first language) to form modified content (including a combination of content in the first language and content in the second language). The source content is processed to replace at least a portion of the content provided in the first language with corresponding content provided in the second language, thereby producing the modified content. The modified content is presented to the end user for use in learning the second language.
