In response to the provided term, search results within a search result set are determined. The search results include an indication of some of the documents relating to the term. The search result set defines a resulting search space. A further term is provided for reducing the search result set or expanding thereof. The further term is provided based on the term, terms relating to documents within the search space, and the resulting search space.

Abstract: A method of searching for content that is stored on a computer system includes receiving a plurality of initial search results based on an initial search query. At least some initial search results of the plurality of initial search results are rated according to a predetermined criterion. First data relating to the rating of the at least some initial search results is provided, and a final search result is returned, based on a correlation between the first data and communal data that is stored on the computer system. Content associated with the final search result is access, the content also being stored on the computer system.

The method exploits the storing of other users consumer-history data for a plurality of different users within databases distributed across the World Wide Web, the user consumer-history data relating to the consumer good, service, and an opinion that is associated, at least temporarily, with that user. The other users consumer-history data is correlated with the users own consumer-history to identify matches, within predetermined thresholds, of the same or other consumer goods and services. These identified matches are presented to the user allowing their review and decision making.

Abstract: Analyzing data relating to an organization is performed by defining interconnections between data nodes belonging to a first organizational chart of the organization and data nodes belonging to a second organizational chart of the organization. Typically, the defined interconnections are for correlating the first organizational chart and the second organizational chart in three-dimensions so as to provide a three-dimensional data visualization structure of the organization. Data relating to the organization is mapped onto the three-dimensional data visualization structure using a predetermined process. The mapped data is then correlated against known template data having a relation to categories of organizational structure. Finally, data indicative of the category of the organizational structure is provided.

Abstract: An enhanced search engine compares a received search query with a history of previous search queries. When equivalent search queries are found the search engine provides a set of sub-categories to the user to further refine their search. Optionally a sub-category corresponds to a specific result. These sub-categories and results are optionally displayed along with conventional search results.

Abstract: A method of providing users with improvements in the acquisition and display of content from the World Wide Web is provided in respect of users searching the World Wide Web. The method exploits the storing of user dependent information, including both limited to their personal information, personal contacts, personal preferences, and consumer related history data. The resulting user dependent information allowing the ranking of retrieved search results from an inquiry provided by the user according to their personal data and preferences. Accordingly the method provides for the user to combining the results from a single query to multiple search engines and display them as a single ranked list. According to another embodiment of the invention the method allows for automatically refining the search iteratively to provide results with high relevance to the user or of a manageable quantity to review.

Abstract: A method of analyzing information flow within an organization includes defining a three-dimensional data visualization structure of the organization including interconnections between organizational elements of the organization. Data flow is processed based on a set of known rules relating to information flow via the interconnections and based upon a flow structure through the organization, so as to simulate moving in time through organizational data upon the set of known rules, from a first endpoint data in order to generate a second endpoint data. In particular, the second endpoint data is one of forward and backward in time relative to the first endpoint data. The second endpoint data is verified against a predetermined outcome and an indication of the result of verifying is provided.

First information is then received from a demographically anonymous user, the first information being indicative of the demographically anonymous user's interest in each one of the plurality of different items. A demographic bias of the demographically anonymous user is estimated as a demographic bias that is statistically similar to the aggregated demographic bias associated with the plurality of different items.

Abstract: Assessing consumer preference tendencies is performed by storing a N-dimensional data representation of users' consumer-history data with N>2. The users' consumer-history data relates to items that are associated, at least temporarily, with users. E item is categorizable as a consumer good, a service, or an opinion. First data is received relating to two other items that are selected for purchase by a first user during a current purchase session. Each one of the two other items is also categorizable as a consumer good, a service, or an opinion. A predetermined process is then used to map the first data onto the N-dimensional data representation. This mapped first data is analyzed to correlate the first data with portions of the N-dimensional data representation for identifying items that most highly correlate with the first data.

When the mapped second data correlates with the first data, an indication is provided relating to one of the first organizational element and the first data itself.
