  • Publication number: 20120273024
Abstract: A solar cell module includes lower and upper substrates that are spaced apart from each other, a plurality of spaced apart solar cells, a plurality of gratings, and a light-transmissive encapsulant disposed between the lower and upper substrates to encapsulate the solar cells and the gratings. Each of the gratings has a grating center, and four reflecting regions formed around the grating center. Each of the reflecting regions has a light entrance face that has a plurality of valleys and peaks. The valleys and peaks alternate with each other along a direction from the grating center to a corresponding one of the corners of a corresponding one of the four adjacent solar cells.

  • Publication number: 20090217974
Abstract: An organic active-layer solution for a polymer solar cell and a method for preparing the same are provided, wherein the organic active-layer solution comprises an organic active-layer material, a first organic solvent and a second organic solvent. The first organic solvent has a boiling point ranging from 50° C. to 200° C. while the second organic solvent has a boiling point ranging from 150° C. to 300° C. The second organic solvent is added into the first organic solvent to dissolve the organic active-layer material. As the second organic solvent has a higher boiling point (a lower evaporation speed), it can directly lower an evaporation speed of the organic active-layer solution, thereby simplifying a manufacturing process of the polymer solar cell and increasing a power conversion efficiency of the polymer solar cell.

  • Publication number: 20080274584
Abstract: A method of microwave annealing for enhancing the properties of organic electronic devices is provided, including the steps of providing organic electronic devices and then microwave annealing the organic electronic devices. Because microwave annealing is non-contact and requires only a short time for annealing, and also because it anneals a target selectively and may anneal only the organic active layer of organic electronic device, microwave annealing allows organic molecules in the organic active layer to be rearranged quickly, so as to improve the arrangement of the organic molecules, and this in turn elevates the quantum efficiency thereof and enhances the properties of the organic electronic devices.

  • Publication number: 20080149174
Abstract: A polymer solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. The cell includes a substrate, a first electrode located on top of the substrate, a conductive polymer layer having a conductive polymer and an additive located on the first electrode, a semiconductor layer over the conductive polymer layer and a second electrode over the semiconductor layer. The manufacturing method of the polymer solar cell is composed of following steps: growing a first electrode on a substrate; mixing an additive and a conductive polymer to form a mixture; depositing the mixture on the first electrode to form a conductive polymer layer; depositing a semiconductor layer on the conductive polymer layer and evaporating a second electrode on the semiconductor layer. By adding additive into the conductive polymer, resistance of the conductive polymer layer is reduced and efficiency of the cell is improved.

  • Publication number: 20070217019
Abstract: A process of fabricating a microlens array is provided. A self-assembled monolayer is formed on a substrate to form a hydrophilic region and a hydrophobic region. A liquid material is coated on the substrate so that a plurality of liquid microlenses is condensed on the hydrophilic region. The liquid microlenses are cured to form a plurality of microlenses.
