    Abstract: The disclosure provides a head mounted display (HMD) and a light adjusting method thereof. The HMD includes a housing, a first chamber, a second chamber, and a light source. The first chamber is disposed in the housing and disposed with a display, wherein the display plays a video content. The second chamber is disposed in the housing and adjacent to the first chamber, wherein a through hole is disposed between the first chamber and the second chamber, and the video content propagates from the first chamber to the second chamber via the through hole. The light source is disposed on at least one side of at least one of the first chamber and the second chamber, wherein the light source provides a light in response to the video content or a system state of the HMD.

The magnet surrounds the column and is disposed on the base or the cover. The magnetic sensor is disposed on a side surface of the column and coupled to the signal processing circuit. When the cover rotates relative to the base, the magnet rotates around the magnetic sensor, and the magnetic field strengths sensed by the magnetic sensor vary. The signal processing circuit determines the relative rotation direction between the cover and the base according to the difference of the magnetic field strengths sensed by the magnetic sensor.
