Abstract: An electronic device and a method for controlling output through an external output device are provided. The electronic device includes a housing, a receptacle formed so as to receive one of a first external connector and a second external connector, and a circuit electrically coupled to the receptacle. The first external connector includes first, second, third, and fourth terminals. The second external connector includes first, second, third, and fourth terminals. The circuit is configured to detect whether one of the first and second external connectors is inserted into the receptacle, and, based on results of detection, provide an audio output to the first external connector in a first manner if the first external connector is inserted, and provide the audio output to the second external connector in a second manner different from the first manner if the second external connector is inserted.

The electronic device includes a housing, an antenna radiating body including a conductive metal, a first member disposed within the housing and electrically connected to the antenna radiating body, a printed circuit board (PCB) disposed within the housing, a flexible connecting member disposed between at least a portion of the first member and at least a portion of a second member and including a conductive material, and a capacitor including a first conductive plate that contacts the second member or formed by a portion of the second member, a second conductive plate, separated from the first conductive plate and electrically connected to the PCB, and a dielectric layer inserted between the first conductive plate and the second conductive plate.

The method includes receiving a speech signal; converting, to a text representation, at least a part of the speech signal corresponding to a voice message object; and displaying, within the voice message object, a part of the text representation, corresponding to the at least the part of the speech signal, a first object selectable to fully view the text representation, and a second object selectable to play back the speech signal.

Abstract: A mobile device and a method for offering query recommendations on the basis of a background application are provided. In the method, the mobile device analyzes the background application when a search window is activated. Then the mobile device receives a search query entered in the search window, compares the received search query with information about the analyzed background application, and derives the query recommendations for the received search query, based on a result of the comparing. When a user's input for selecting one of the query recommendations is received, the mobile device displays the selected query recommendation in the search window.
