  • Publication number: 20240142664
Abstract: Two types of blue light blocking contact lenses are provided and are formed by curing different compositions. The first composition includes a blue light blocking component formed by mixing or reacting a first hydrophilic monomer and a yellow dye, a first colored dye component formed by mixing or reacting a second hydrophilic monomer and a first colored dye, at least one third hydrophilic monomer, a crosslinker, and an initiator. The first colored dye includes a green dye, a cyan dye, a blue dye, an orange dye, a red dye, a black dye, or combinations thereof. The second composition includes a blue light blocking component, at least one hydrophilic monomer, a crosslinker, and an initiator. The blue light blocking component is formed by mixing or reacting glycerol monomethacrylate and a yellow dye. Further, methods for preparing the above contact lenses are provided.

  • Publication number: 20050133804
Abstract: The present invention relates to a display device comprising a substrate, a display module, a lenticular lens and a glass cap. The display module is attached to the substrate and is used for emitting light. The lenticular lens is disposed above the display module and is used for changing the luminous intensity distribution of the light emitted by the display module. The glass cap is disposed above the lenticular lens and is sealed with the substrate for capping the lenticular lens and the display module. According to the display device of the invention, the disunity of the luminous intensity distribution of the light emitted by the display module in different view angles is improved, which facilitates the color control. The present invention also relates to a method of making a display device with a lenticular lens.

  • Patent number: 5178085
Abstract: The invention is directed to an improved multihull vessel for enhanced seakeeping and reduced hydrodynamic fluid resistance and a method for minimizing the wavemaking resistance of multihull vessels. Lower wavemaking resistance is realized while maintaining the advantageous seakeeping characteristics of small waterplane area multihull vessels. By the proper arrangement of slender, tapered hull elements, the present invention produces favorable wave interference effects and smaller surface wave disturbances resulting in lower wavemaking resistance. A tapered hull design provides a small waterplane area for enhanced seakeeping while producing smaller surface wave disturbances and reduced hull interaction resistance due to the lack of surface discontinuities. In addition, proper arrangement of hull elements provides favorable wave interference.
