  • Patent number: 8036399
Abstract: An audio output apparatus includes: an audio codec outputting an analog audio signal corresponding to a digital audio signal from a system controller; a switch unit having a first end coupled to the audio codec through a capacitor, and a grounded second end; and a switch controller triggered by a trigger signal to output a control signal to a control end of the switch unit such that the switch unit couples the capacitor to ground in response to the control signal. The trigger signal is generated by one of the system controller, the audio codec, and a power circuit supplying electric power to the system controller, the audio codec and the switch controller upon occurrence of a condition associated with pop noise, and is outputted to the switch controller before the pop noise is generated, such that the pop noise is conducted to ground via the switch unit.

  • Publication number: 20100004936
Abstract: An audio output apparatus includes an audio codec receiving a digital audio signal from a system controller and outputting an analog audio signal corresponding to the digital audio signal to an amplifier through a capacitor, and a switch controller triggered by a trigger signal to output a control signal to the amplifier. The amplifier is disabled to cease outputting the analog audio signal in response to the control signal. The trigger signal is generated by one of the system controller, the audio codec, and a power circuit supplying electric power to the system controller, the audio codec, the switch controller and the amplifier upon occurrence of a condition associated with pop noise, and is outputted to the switch controller before the pop noise is generated, such that the amplifier is disabled in response to the control signal from the switch controller and is unable to output the pop noise.

  • Publication number: 20090251108
Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a charging unit coupled to a rechargeable battery, an internal electronic unit, and a temperature sensor for sensing temperature of the internal electronic unit. The charging unit receives an external input power so as to output a charging current for charging the rechargeable battery, and a supply current supplied to the internal electronic unit, and adjusts the charging current outputted to the rechargeable battery unit based on the temperature of the internal electronic unit. A method of adjusting a charging current for a rechargeable battery unit of a portable electronic device is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080144540
Abstract: The present invention discloses a network switching apparatus and a network switching method applied for switching between a wired network unit and a wireless network unit of a computer system. Based on the network switching method, the network switching apparatus includes a wired network unit, a wireless network unit and a control unit. The wired network unit includes a plug/unplug interface responsible for a wired network transmission. The wireless network unit is responsible for a wireless network transmission. The control unit includes a logic control circuit and a logic control unit or an embedded controller, and a basic input/output system (BIOS) of the computer system is used for pre-selecting setup options of the computer system, and detecting whether a network socket is plugged in or unplugged from a plug/unplug interface, so as to turn on or off the wired network transmission and wireless network transmission.

  • Publication number: 20080049409
Abstract: A circuit module and a shielding structure for electromagnetic waves or radio frequency interferences are comprised of a circuit board and electronic components disposed on the circuit board, and a metal partition mounted on the electronic components; the metal partition disposed with one or a plurality of through holes, which does not contact the electronic components so as to shield electromagnetic waves or radio frequency interferences externally radiated from the electronic components, or radiated from an external source by the conductivity of the metal partition; and the through hole dissipates heat generated by the electronic components to maintain normal working status and quality of the circuit module.

  • Publication number: 20080007456
Abstract: An antenna structure and a medium component for use in a planar inverted-F antenna are disclosed. The antenna structure comprises a radiation component, a ground component and a medium component. A space is between the radiation component and the ground component for generating resonance effects to transmit and to receive electromagnetic waves. The medium component is set into the space which is between the radiation component and the ground component for fastening the space, but also has insulation and waterproof functions. The efficacy for the antenna structure transmitting and receiving electromagnetic waves can be ensured.

  • Patent number: 6259589
Abstract: A protection device applied to a telephone line comprises at least an overload detecting device, a high temperature detecting circuit, and an enforcing on-hook means. When an abnormal over voltage or over current occurs, it can be detected by the overload detecting device. An overload signal is output to the enforcing on-hook device. Or when the temperature of a fax/modem machine raises abnormally, it can be detected by the high temperature detecting circuit. A high temperature signal is then output to enforcing on-hook device. While the enforcing on-hook device receives the overload signal or the high temperature signal, the system is on hook.
