  • Publication number: 20220034002
Abstract: A single-strand yarn includes a plurality of intimately associated staple fibers made from N strands of multi-filaments by stretching and controlled breaking, and then spun by a spinning process, where N is a natural number. Within the single-strand yarn of a sampling length according to the invention, a ratio of the number of the staple fibers, whose length is equal to or greater than 60% of a setup fiber length to the total number of the staple fibers, is equal to or greater than 60%. The sampling length is equal to or less than 10 meters. The setup fiber length is equal to or larger than 65 mm. The dispersion of the weight distribution in the average length of the single-strand yarn according to the invention is equal to or less than 60%.

  • Patent number: 8282232
Abstract: The invention discloses an illuminating textile article including a diode-based lighting device and a textile body. The diode-based lighting device has M contact points where M is an integer equal to or larger than 2. The textile body is constituted by N conductive yarns and at least one non-conductive yarn where N is an integer equal to or larger than 2, and provides M? conductive exposed portions of the conductive yarns which are separated by the at least one non-conductive yarn from one another. Each of the M contact points corresponds to one of the M? conductive exposed portions and is fixed to the corresponding conductive exposed portion. The conductive yarns provide terminals for electric connection of a power supply.

  • Publication number: 20100300060
Abstract: The invention discloses a conductive yarn including a core yarn and at least one rolled metal wire with a corrosion or oxidation protection which is respectively and spirally wound around the core yarn. The conductive yarn according to the invention is capable of withstanding dyeing, finishing and washing, and has excellent stress resistance, better conductivity, yarn softness and flexibility such that it can be easily in a conventional textile fabrication process to become a conductive portion of textile article or be served as a conductive sewing thread. Moreover, according to the invention, the conductive yarn provides an intimate structure between the surface conductive material (rolled metal wires) and core material (core yarn). The structure can ensure the surface conductive material will not be fractured, and have a better and uniform conductivity.

The diode-based lighting device has M contact points where M is an integer equal to or larger than 2. The textile body is constituted by N conductive yarns and at least one non-conductive yarn where N is an integer equal to or larger than 2, and provides M? conductive floating points of the conductive yarns which are separated by the at least one non-conductive yarn from one another. Each of the M contact points corresponds to one of the M? conductive floating points and is fixed to the corresponding conductive floating point. The conductive yarns provide terminals for electric connection of a power supply.

  • Patent number: 6545253
Abstract: The present invention provides a heating apparatus which can be implemented as various articles for keeping human body warm, preventing from cold weather, insulating cold air, etc., e.g., warming clothes, electric blankets, hot compress pads, and curtains for insulating cold air. According to the invention, the heating apparatus includes a soft matrix, a metal yarn and a power supply. The metal yarn is integrated with the soft matrix to construct a loop pattern by a textile process, and has a first end line and a second end line. The first end line and the second end line of the metal yarn are detachably connected to the power supply. When the first end line and the second end line of the metal yarn both are connected to power supply, the power supply supplies the metal yarn with electric energy such that the metal yarn transfers the supplied electric energy into heat.
