  • Patent number: 9771901
Abstract: An exhaust gas recirculation valve having a cam structure for opening and closing a gas passage through which exhaust gas is recirculated to an intake manifold. The valve includes a valve housing having the gas passage, a valve unit linearly moving to selectively open and close the gas passage, a motor generating power to drive the valve unit, a valve actuator driving the valve unit to move linearly, and a power transmission transmitting the rotation force from the motor to the valve actuator. The valve actuator includes a power-transmission gear unit to transmit the rotation force from the motor, and the valve actuator includes an actuating gear unit to be rotated by being meshed with the power-transmission gear unit. The valve has a cam structure in which the power-transmission gear unit and the actuating gear unit are arranged in line with a direction of linear motion of the valve unit.

  • Patent number: 8125978
Abstract: A sensor network system and method for establishing a data transmission path are is disclosed. The method for establishing a data transmission path of a sink node and the network system which includes a plurality of nodes including the sink node, includes a) requesting nodes on a previously established data transmission path to give their adjacent node information, b) receiving the adjacent node information, c) retrieving adjacent nodes as the sink node moves, and d) reestablishing the data transmission path through the result of retrieval and the adjacent node information. Since the data transmission path is reestablished without flooding, it is possible to reduce energy of the nodes. Also, the method for establishing a data transmission path can be applied to any routing protocols without additional conditions.

  • Patent number: 7403506
Abstract: A handoff method is provided in a communication network including a plurality of fixed nodes attached to a router connected to at least one external network, and at least one mobile node associated with a current fixed node. The method detects movement of a mobile node; prepares a handoff of the mobile node from a current fixed node to potential fixed nodes upon detecting movement of the mobile node; decides whether to handoff to one of the potential fixed nodes as a target fixed node; and performs the handoff from the current fixed node to the target fixed node. The handoff method enables the mobile station to quickly move its association from one access point to another by minimizing a probe delay which is a primary contributor to handoff delay.

  • Patent number: 7260111
Abstract: A MAP message processing system for interworking between heterogeneous networks includes a protocol identifying unit which analyzes a TCAP message to identify a protocol type of a message originating network which transmitted a MAP message associated with the TCAP message; and a protocol distributing unit which distributes the MAP message to a corresponding MAP layer based on the protocol type identified by the protocol identifying unit. Identification of the protocol type of the message originating network may be accomplished by determining whether the TCAP message contains specific type of information. This information includes any one or more of a specific type of dialogue portion in the TCAP message, a specific type of operation code, and a certain MAP start tag value. The absence of this information may also provide an indication of the protocol type of the originating network.
