  • Publication number: 20020160156
Abstract: An extensible packaging element is disclosed for positioning and cushioning an article. The extensible packaging element comprises two fasteners and a stretchable portion. The two fasteners are mounted on two ends of the packaging element so that the extensible packaging element can link with another extensible packaging element to extend the size of the extensible packaging element. Therefore, the connected extensible packaging element can suit articles of various sizes and weights. According to the invention, the cost of the molds can be decreased and the manufacturing efficiency can be improved. A stretchable packaging element is also disclosed for positioning and cushioning an article. The stretchable packaging element comprises two non-stretchable portions and a stretchable portion. The stretchable packaging element is manufactured in one size for saving the space and reducing the cost. They are used to package up articles of various sizes.

  • Patent number: 6439398
Abstract: The present invention relates to a convertible board holder for positioning and cushioning at least one article each having two continuous side walls. The convertible board holder comprises a first portion, a second portion and a hinged portion. The first portion has at least one first transverse recess. The second portion has at least one second transverse recess corresponding to the first transverse recess of the first portion. The hinged portion continuously connects between the first portion and the second portion in a corrugated form so that when the first portion and the second portion are rotationally converted about the hinged portion at a certain angle, the first transverse recess and second transverse recess are adapted to receive the two side walls of the article, respectively. Therefore, the convertible board holder of the invention can position and cushion at least two side walls of an article. The convertible board holder can position and cushion a plurality of articles.

  • Patent number: 6401955
Abstract: The present invention relates to a container assembly comprising a first container unit and a second container unit. The first container unit is used to receive articles. The two container units are connected by fastener members. The first container unit is spaced apart from the second container unit to define a distance for isolation. The second container unit has a transversely corrugated section formed on a lower portion of the container unit to allow the user to easily hold the container assembly, to strengthen the support of the container assembly and to increase the capacity of the container assembly. In consideration of convenience and environmental protection, after the container assembly is used, the two container units can be separated. The first container unit can be thrown away, and the second container unit can be used again to connect to a new first container unit. The container assembly is therefore economic and convenient.

  • Patent number: 6361659
Abstract: The pulp mold of the invention comprises a plurality of successive pulp mold units. Each unit comprises a plurality of higher and lower surfaces such that the pulp mold has a plurality of corrugated surfaces to provide a plurality of cushions and to simulate the deformation and spring recovery effect for performing positioning and cushioning. The pulp mold of the invention can adjust the number of pulp mold unit according to the weight and size of the article. The molding unit means of the invention can be constructed to be suitable for various articles. When the articles are no longer manufactured, the molding unit means can be re-constructed to be suitably used on other products.

  • Patent number: 5826726
Abstract: A pulp mold comprises at least a cushion section for positioning and cushioning an article. In one embodiment of the invention, the cushion section is comprised of a plurality of pulp mold strips, and in other embodiments, the cushion section is formed by a number of successive pulp mold units, each unit defining a ridged surface on the pulp mold. A molding means for manufacturing the units comprises upper mold members and lower mold members, together defining the units, with each lower mold member being connected between two successive upper mold members. The upper mold members are used to form the ridged surfaces of the units for contact with an external packing material, such as a cardboard box or a carton, and the lower mold members, in addition to defining the units with the upper mold members, are used to form bottom surfaces each connecting two successive units. These bottom surfaces define an envelop plane completely fit with the contour of the article to be packaged.
