Abstract: A bin, suitable for the retention of rubbish, said bin comprising a container, a lid which is moveable between an open position in which rubbish may be received into the container, and a closed position in which access to the container is at least partially restricted. A lid actuating device for moving the lid between the open position and closed positions. The lid actuating device including an actuator mechanism and a lever mechanism including at least one tensile member which can be tensioned by actuation of the actuator mechanism to cause movement of the lid towards the open position.

Abstract: A media disk storage case comprising a wallet having a base panel and a cover panel hingeably engaged to the base panel to be movable thereto from a closed condition wherein the panels are overlying to an open condition wherein the panels are outward lying of each other. The base panel has a mounting member which includes a rosette. The mounting member is engaged to a first major surfaces of the base panel by at least one mechanical fastening means secured to the mounting member and to the one of the first or second panels, so that when in the overlying condition the media storage disk on the rosette is captured between the base panel and the cover panel and the planes of the first major surfaces of the base panel and the cover panel are substantially parallel to the plane of the media storage disk.

Abstract: In a storage box for a disk, the lid and the base of the box are hinged along one side. A security bar holds the lid and base closed. The security bar has one surface with pairs of pins at intervals therealong. The lid and the base have respective pin receiving regions, such as openings, which receive the pins of each pair to hold the box closed. A latch on the security bar projects into an internal latching region in the box to prevent removal of the security bar. The latch is rotatable by an insertable key to a release condition to release the security bar for removal.

The apparatus includes a base portion and two arms, each arm resiliently cantilevered and extending substantially perpendicular from the base portion. A disk locating means includes two portions, each having a disk engageable region. The two portions are also articulated to each other about an articulation axis and each portion is pivotally connected to one of the arms, respectively, about a pivot axis, the articulation axis located between the pivot axes. The two portions are moveable in a manner that moves the articulation axis from a side on one side of and between the two pivot axes, wherein the two portions are in a disk securing condition, to a position on the other side of and between the two pivot axes, wherein the two portions are in a disk releasing condition.
