  • Patent number: 10031574
Abstract: A computing system includes a multi-core processor and a core controller. The core controller is for: monitoring utilization of the multi-core processor; calculating a target performance index according to the utilization of the multi-core processor, a target utilization and a first performance index, wherein the first performance index is associated with a first entry of a dynamic voltage frequency scaling (DVFS) table that corresponds to a current setting for the multi-core processor; and selecting a second entry of the DVFS table that corresponds to a target-setting according to the target performance index and a second performance index that is associated with the second entry. The target-setting is used to configure the multi-core processor.

  • Publication number: 20180185981
Abstract: A quick change back up pad comprises a grinding disc and a base, and the base is connected between the grinding disc and a grinding hand tool. Wherein, the quick change back up pad comprises a gap formed between the base and the grinding disc and communicated to the outside, and a plurality of air holes communicated with the gap is formed through the base. Accordingly, the plurality of air holes forms an airflow during a rotation process of the quick change back up pad, such that heat energy generated by the operation of the quick change back up pad can be dissipated by the airflow from the gap to the outside of the plurality of air holes, thereby solving a problem that a grinding disc is difficult to perform heat dissipation since a surface thereof is covered during the conventional implementation.

  • Publication number: 20180143207
Abstract: A urine biomarker is provided, and more particularly, a screening method using the urine biomarker to screen a subject having a high risk of developing diabetic nephropathy is also provided. The urine biomarker of glycosylated uromodulin can be used to detect and predict diabetic patients having a high risk of developing diabetic nephropathy more accurate and earlier than general detection methods of PCR or ACR tests, thereby the patient being screened can be treated earlier and thus prevent deterioration of the progression of chronic kidney disease, and therefore dramatically decrease the risk of death.

  • Publication number: 20170246721
Abstract: A pneumatic tool comprises a housing, a cylinder and a pneumatic assembly. The housing includes a compartment, an air entrance channel interconnecting with the compartment, and an air exit channel interconnecting with the compartment. The air exit channel includes an air incoming end, an air outgoing end, and a flow-guiding incline disposed on one side of the compartment, which faces the cylinder, and connected with the rim of the air exit channel partially or completely. The cross section of the air incoming end is larger than the cross section of the air outgoing end. The air incoming end guides the high-speed and high-pressure air to the air exit channel to increase the flow rate at which the high-speed and high-pressure air flows out of the air exit channel. Thereby is solved the operational abnormalities caused by that the conventional pneumatic polishing-grinding machine cannot fully exhaust high-speed and high-pressure air.

  • Publication number: 20170190013
Abstract: A pneumatic tool comprises a housing, a chamber formed inside the housing, and a pneumatic mechanism and a cylinder disposed inside the chamber. The housing includes a gas inhale channel and a gas exhaust channel respectively interconnecting with the chamber. A ventilation gap is formed between the cylinder and chamber. The cylinder includes a compartment receiving the pneumatic mechanism, a gas inlet hole interconnecting with the compartment and gas inhale channel, and at least one gas outlet hole interconnecting with the compartment and ventilation gap. The pneumatic tool also comprises at least one buffer turbulent channel disposed on at least one of the sides of the cylinder and chamber, which face the ventilation gap. The variation of the cross section area between the ventilation gap and buffer turbulent channel can regulate flowing the speed of the high-pressure and high-speed gas and make it drive the pneumatic mechanism smooth.

  • Publication number: 20170160962
Abstract: A multicore processor system includes multiple processor cores. When a processor core goes offline, the offline processor core is mapped to a mapped processor core, which is selected from an emulated processor core and one or more online processor cores among the multiple processor cores. The emulated processor core is a software construct containing an emulated state of the offline processor core. When the multicore processor system receives a system call that is sent from a requestor to the offline processor core to request for system information from the offline processor core, the system call is re-directed to the mapped processor core. The system information is returned from the mapped processor core to the requestor in response to the system call.

  • Publication number: 20160314024
Abstract: A computing system supports a clearance mode for its processor cores. The computing system can transition a target processor core from an active mode into a clearance mode according to a system policy. The system policy determines the number of processor cores to be in the active mode. The transitioning into the clearance mode includes the operations of migrating work from the target processor core to one or more other processor cores in the active mode in the computing system; and removing the target processor core from a scheduling configuration of the computing system to prevent task assignment to the target processor core. When the target processor core is in the clearance mode, the target processor core is maintained in an online idle state in which the target processor core performs no work.
