    Abstract: A cable containing an LED (Light Emitting Diode) light strip driven by an induced current is provided. The cable includes an LED light strip, a cable core and an outer protection layer covering the cable core and the LED light strip. The cable core includes at least one power wire core. The LED light strip includes a coil block and an LED chip which are connected in series to form a closed loop. The coil block generates an induced potential under the action of an alternating magnetic field generated after the power wire core is powered on. The LED chip is lightened by the induced potential. The outer protection layer is made of a light-transmitting material.

    Abstract: A method of preparing a modified polyvinyl acetate includes subjecting a mixed liquor L1 containing a functional monomer to a first reaction with a first vinyl acetate monomer, followed by adding a first initiator to carry out a second reaction to obtain a mixed liquor L2; subjecting an acrylate monomer, a second vinyl acetate monomer, a second initiator and the mixed liquor L2 to carry out a third reaction to obtain a mixed liquor L3; and subjecting a third initiator and the mixed liquor L3 to carry out a fourth reaction under the air-tight and ultrasonic conditions. The functional monomer is selected from acrylic acid, oleic acid or butenedioic acid. Uses of modified polyvinyl acetate obtained by the method and oil-based drilling fluid containing the modified polyvinyl acetate are also disclosed.

    Abstract: An improved method is provided for maximizing accuracy of ability estimates while permitting a test taker to review and/or change responses in computer adaptive testing. One or more ability-dependent items are selected from a pool of adaptive items, the selected ability-dependent item matching interim ability estimates for an examinee. One or more ability-independent items are selected from a pool of non-adaptive items. The interim ability estimate can be generated after each iteration of responses to ability-dependent and/or ability-independent items. The ability-independent items can be randomly dispersed throughout the computer adaptive test. A prescribed ratio can be maintained between the ability-dependent items and ability-independent items for minimizing overestimation of the examinee's ability scores after reviewing and changing one or more test items in the computer adaptive test.

The invented system comprises a plurality of clients, each of which comprising a downloading unit, a media data cache and a playing unit, a plurality of IP ports connecting the clients to the Internet, an IP port controlling means controlling the connection between the client and the IP-port and a scheduling means scheduling the downloading tasks of the downloading unit and the playing tasks of the playing unit independently. In the cases of many of broadband access networks using the virtual streaming method in this invention, downloading a media file takes less time to complete than playing the media file does, and the IP ports can be released after the downloading is completed and before the playing is completed.
