  • Patent number: 8573609
Abstract: A plurality of tent weight plates are adapted to be stacked one upon another in use on a tent leg and in transport on a cart. A base plate on the lower-most weight plate includes an extension beyond the plates to which a tent leg is secured. The weight plates include a tab matingly received in a track between rails on the cart to prevent shifting of the plates on the cart. The plates also include holes which are aligned when the plates are stacked so as to receive a post through the holes to maintain alignment of the stacked plates in use on the tent leg and during transport on the cart.

  • Patent number: 6981680
Abstract: Weights are provided for the legs of tents or display stands to stabilize the tents or stands. Each weight comprises one or more plates which may be stacked upon one another and secured by fasteners extending through aligned holes in the plates. Additional holes in the plates are adapted to receive another fastener extending through a foot on the leg to secure the leg to the weight. The weights may include leveling legs on the bottom plate to accommodate uneven or sloped terrain. Carrying handles are attached or formed in the plates. The weights are flat and provide a low profile to prevent accidental tripping over the weights and to minimize storage and transportation space of the weights.

  • Patent number: 6733081
Abstract: A chair is provided with a seat and a base for securing the chair to the floor. A footrest secures to the seat, and a linking mechanism moves the footrest between an extended and a retracted position. The linking mechanism comprises a bracket that allows the footrest to pivotably mount thereto. A handle pivotably secures to the bracket and a first end of a first link. The second end of the first link pivotably secures to the first end of a second link, and the second end of the second link pivotably secures to an additional pivotable mount on the footrest. Movement of the handle moves the footrest between the extended and retracted positions.

  • Patent number: 6167819
Abstract: An apparatus for planting elongated tree slips in soil includes a movable frame, and at least one row planting unit. The row planting unit includes a lower portion, an upper portion pivotally mounted to the frame, and a driver assembly having an elongated plunger for applying a purely longitudinal planting force to one end of the tree slips to drive them individually into the ground. A retractable and extensible stabilizing mechanism is operatively positioned between the frame and the row planting unit for pivoting the latter with respect to the frame during the application of the planting force. A brake is also provided on the lower portion of the row planting unit for halting movement of the lower portion of the row planting unit across the ground. The brake, stabilizing mechanism and plunger are coordinated so that the plunger is maintained in a position directly over the slip being driven, despite the movement of the frame across the soil.

  • Patent number: 4723399
Abstract: An improved picker bar assembly for a cotton harvester includes a thin cylindrical sleeve which is pressed onto the upper end of the picker bar. The sleeve has an inner diameter which is smaller than the outer diameter of the upper end, a lower portion defining the journal area between the picker bar and the picker drum head, and an upper area which mounts the cam arm. The sleeve increases the shear and bending strength and fatigue life of the upper portion of the picker bar, particularly adjacent the grease hole which communicates lubricant between the hollow interior of the picker bar and the journal area.
