    Abstract: A protective accordion configured tubular boot has one end fixedly secured to and sealed about the cylinder of a shock absorber and the boot extends upwardly about a plunger protruding from the cylinder. The other end of the boot includes an inwardly extending radial flange having a plurality of circular concentric ridges disposed on opposed sides. An outwardly radially extending channel fixedly secured proximate the end of the plunger receives the radial flange to form a floating vented seal at the other end of the boot to prevent particulate matter and liquids from entering the boot.

    Abstract: An emitter for receiving water from a trickle irrigation system and emitting the received water at a trickle flow rate to an area to be irrigated. The emitter includes a float controlled water inlet shutoff valve for receiving water from the trickle irrigation system and supplying it to a housing to establish a water supply therein and maintain the water supply at a predetermined substantially constant level above at least one water outlet opening of predetermined size formed in the housing to provide a pressure head which interacts with the size of the water outlet opening to determine the trickle output flow rate of the emitter.

    Abstract: A rear carrier for use with motorcycles and other types of cycles. The carrier has a platform, opposite side panels and forwardly extending arms. The platform, panels and arms are injection molded from suitable synthetic or polymeric material. Channel members extend longitudinally along the inside of the arms for attachment to the frame of the cycle to distribute the loading along the arm. In other embodiments, the carrier may be provided with an adjustable backrest and may further be provided with hinged platform to provide access to subjacent compartments.
