  • Publication number: 20240059845
Abstract: A method for producing polymeric microparticle compositions using the steps of: 1) melt processing an immiscible polymeric blend comprising an immiscible polymer matrix and a soluble polymer matrix, 2) dissolving the soluble polymer matrix of the immiscible polymeric blend using a solvent to yield a polymeric microparticle composition, and 3) isolating the polymeric microparticle composition.

  • Publication number: 20230360746
Abstract: A random clinical trial (RCT) management system is disclosed. The system includes a user interface, including a configuration interface configured to receive user input defining parameters for a randomized clinical trial and a dashboard interface configured to output results of the randomized clinical trial. The system includes an analysis engine configured to analyze data from a plurality of educational modules associated with a learning management system (LMS) course, including a control educational module and at least one variation educational module correlated to the control educational module Analyzing is performed based on user input received at the configuration interface. The analysis engine randomly assigns students interacting with the learning management system to one of the educational modules and reports analysis results to the dashboard interface. The system includes a communications interface configured to be coupled to an LMS.

  • Patent number: 7437000
Abstract: This invention comprises the means for the capture of full spectrum images in an electronic camera without the use of color primary filters to limit the spectral color gamut of the captured image. The fundamental principle of the invention is that each pixel of the image sensor acts as an independent spectrophotometer and spectral separator. Electromagnetic energy enters though a slit or collimating optic. Electromagnetic energy gets diffracted into component spectra by diffraction grating spectrophotometer for each pixel of image Electromagnetic energy leaves diffraction grating at different angles based on wavelength of the energy Spectrophotometer separates light for each pixel into its spectral components onto photodetector line array elements. Individual line array elements which are activated determine the original radiance level of the light source containing that specific wavelength region. The sum of these regions determines the spectral signature of the light at that pixel element.

  • Patent number: 6985294
Abstract: An apparatus providing full spectrum electronic images includes a full-spectrum light source, a programmable diffraction grating to separate light from the source into its spectral components, a reflection system controllable on a pixel by pixel basis to modulate light output from the diffraction grating, and a scanning mirror to form an image from light modulated by the reflection system. A related method for displaying a full spectrum image includes providing full spectrum light, using a diffraction grating to separate the light into its spectral components, and for each pixel of the image, modulating the intensity of the spectral components to produce a light output characteristic of such pixel, and additionally using a scanning mirror arrangement to form the image.

  • Patent number: 6772141
Abstract: A search decision table comprises a plurality of references to indexes, such as full text indexes, where each index corresponds to one or more informational resources. The search decision table has a plurality of references to ranges of text, wherein each range of text is bound by a lower text limit and an upper text limit. Preferably, the references to ranges of text are arranged in the matrix sequentially in alphanumeric order, and each reference to a range of text comprises the lower text limit. A plurality of cross-referencing data in the matrix correlate the references to the ranges of text and the references to the indexes, wherein each of the cross-referencing data correspond to a reference to a range of text and to a reference to an index. Preferably, the matrix includes attribute data and/or index data for each reference to range of text. Other embodiments of search decision tables are also disclosed, as well different uses for the search decision table.

  • Patent number: 6374364
Abstract: In order to provide a microprocessor based fault tolerant computing system, hardware counters or event monitors that are normally included on the microprocessor chips are used to count application instructions that are being executed by the microprocessors. By counting the instructions and preempting the execution of the application program after a predetermined number of instructions have been executed, it is possible to cause the application programs to execute in congruent frames so that results from the application can be checked at congruent points of their execution. If the results do not match, then the program can be terminated or if a number of microprocessors are being used, the results can be voted on and the ones that match can be used in further computation by the system.

  • Patent number: 5696579
Abstract: An apparatus (60) or system (30) for determining a differential time derivative of strain in a device that has a low coherence light source (32) coupled to a plurality of Fabry-Perot etalons (62). The reflected signals from the Fabry-Perot etalons are coupled to a beam splitter (44) or acousto-optic modulator (66). A first beam (48) and a second beam (50) from the output (46) of the beam splitter (44) are combined in at least one interferometer (52, 64). The outputs of the interferometers (64) are detected by a plurality of detectors (124). The outputs of the detectors (124) are coupled to a plurality of FM demodulators (127).
