Abstract: A process for tracking and monitoring the operation of a unit for manufacturing a product and/or a near-infrared spectrometer fed with the product. The process includes periodically recording spectra arising from the near-infrared spectrometer, mathematically transforming the spectra, computing at least one quality criterion, intercomparing two sets of spectra after transformation, and tracking the evolution of this criterion over time. The process finds its application in the chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, cosmetological, and agro-food industries.

Abstract: A process for tracking and monitoring the operation of a unit for manufacturing a product and/or a near-infrared spectrometer fed with the product. This process includes computing at least one indicator of proper operation of the manufacturing unit and/or of the near-infrared spectrometer. A mathematical expression combines the values of work spectra and those of corresponding recomposed spectra. The evolution of these indicators is then tracked. The spectra are obtained by transformations of spectra emanating from the spectrometer and are recorded periodically. Application of this process is in the chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, cosmetological and agro-food industries.

Abstract: Process for determining the value of a physical quantity for a product to be analysed on the basis of the values of recordings of signals delivered by at least one measuring instrument fed with the said product and of a validated model, constructed from an initial file of numerical data, furthermore consisting in distributing the numerical data of the initial file into sub-groups which are homogeneous and representative in relation to one another and with respect to the said initial file. Abstract: A method for correcting a signal delivered by a slave measuring instrument with respect to a reference signal delivered by a master measuring instrument of the same type involved in the analyzing of the same product includes the provision of standardization signals delivered by both the slave instrument and the master instrument as they analyze calibration products, each calibration product having a particular known calibration characteristic. These standardization signals are subjected to series decomposition so that they are simplified prior to their being formed into a correction coefficient matrix useful in correcting a signal derived from a slave measuring instrument performing an actual analysis of the characteristic of a test product like the calibration products. When a test product undergoes analysis, it is analyzed by the slave measuring instrument to determine a signal which is then subject to a further series decomposition and correction with the aid of the stored correction matrix.
