Abstract: A shaft tube system comprises a shaft having an elongated body, a cam at a brake end and a coupler at an actuated end. A shaft tube accommodates the shaft such that a cavity is defined between the elongated body of the shaft and an interior of the shaft tube with the shaft being rotatable along its longitudinal axis within the shaft tube. The shaft tube has a blockable inlet in fluid communication with the cavity to supply lubricant to the cavity. Seals are positioned between the shaft and the shaft tube at opposed ends of the shaft tube so as to define a lubricant reserve in said cavity, to lubricate the shaft with respect to the interior of the shaft tube. A purge system has a purge outlet in the shaft tube in fluid communication with the cavity adjacent to the brake end for lubricant from the lubricant reserve to be purged therethrough, and a flow control member for each said purge outlet restricting an exit of lubricant through the purge outlet.

Abstract: The disclosure herein describes a door for covering the oven cavity of a pyrolytic range, which comprises four spaced panels that define therebetween three air cooling passageways providing an insulating effect; inlet and outlet openings are located in the top and bottom edges of the door to allow air to circulate in the passageways to reduce heat loss through the window sections of the door so that the temperature on the front panel of the door, during the high temperature self-cleaning cycle of the oven, does not exceed the allowable limit. The invention is also concerned with providing a continuous gasket on the front wall of the oven portion of the range to trap air on the sides of the oven and to direct it upwards through orifices leading to underneath the top cooking surface of the oven from where it exits.

Abstract: The disclosure herein describes a locking mechanism for the door of a pyrolytic range having a high temperature self-cleaning cycle; the mechanism includes a latch arm pivotally mounted to the oven frame of the range and adapted to move between a door locking position and a door unlocked position; a pair of solenoids, each including a movable magnet bar, are coupled to the latch arm so that the bars may be simultaneously displaced for each separate energization of the solenoids; spring means are used to maintain the latch arm in each position reached by the arm.

Abstract: The window unit is formed of a frame and of glass sheets arranged in spaced parallel relationship so as to form an air space between adjacent glass sheets; the frame is defined by top and bottom members and a pair of side members. The top and bottom frame members each have laterally spaced longitudinal portions forming channels and individually receive a major portion of the upper and lower marginal edges of the glass sheets.
