  • Publication number: 20140237992
Abstract: A method and device for testing a diesel engine to determine whether the engine's diesel particulate filter is functioning properly is provided. The device comprises an elongated pole with a service ring disposed at one end. The service ring is designed to removably support a filtration means, which is composed of porous cloth material. The device is removably affixed over the outlet of a diesel engine exhaust pipe, allowing the filtration means to trap any particulates that may be contained within the engine exhaust. If the diesel engine particulate filter is functioning properly, there will be no particulates collected by the filtration means; if the diesel engine particulate filter is not functioning properly, the present invention allows the user to collect physical evidence of such.

  • Patent number: 8423564
Abstract: A method and systems are provided for managing database data. A data repository stores existing immediate mode data in the form of immediate mode database records. Transaction mode database records for modifying and adding to the immediate mode records are created and stored, with the transaction mode records being organized into transactions. Each transaction includes a definition, such as a transaction definition record, and transaction mode records are associated with a transaction using a field in each transaction mode record including a reference to a transaction. A transaction can be posted, causing values stored in the transaction mode records associated with the transaction to be used to create added or modified immediate mode records. Transactions can also be used in operations providing views to show the effects of the transaction mode records, or to create data structures for export.

  • Patent number: 8126132
Abstract: A system and method for providing information about a calling party to a called party is disclosed. Generally, a network element obtains information about a calling party when a telephone line of a called party is busy. The network element notifies the called party that the calling party is attempting to contact the called party and transmits an audible version of the information about the calling party to the called party without receiving an input from the called party.

  • Patent number: 7391859
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for providing an enhanced call waiting message to a customer when the customer is busy on a previous call and receives a current call. The call waiting message preferably includes a call waiting indicator and an audible representation of information associated with a current calling party. The call waiting message alerts the customer that a current call is waiting and provides the customer with information that assists the customer in deciding whether or not to take the current call. The call waiting indicator and the information associated with a current calling party are automatically transmitted to the customer without any customer commands.

  • Publication number: 20070191887
Abstract: A method for collecting, recording, and broadcasting coded human or animal body waveforms. The method consists of placing a contact, which is designed to receive electrical signals, on a portion of the body. The electrical signal is converted into a readable format and is processed and stored in a computer. The electrical signal can be adjusted and rebroadcast into the body to modulate body organ, muscle and gland functioning.

  • Publication number: 20050197600
Abstract: A non-invasive vagal stimulation device and method. The device comprises a body having a vibration member. The stimulation is created by the vibration member which has a vibratory rate that can be adjusted from being off to a preferred operating range. The non-invasive stimulation method consists of placing the non-invasive stimulation device in the vicinity of the carotid artery bifrication where arises a carotid sinus and body which contain afferent sensory nerves that travel to medulla oblongata of brain, and either applying pressure in place, or moving the device along the target arm. The method can be accomplished either with the vibration feature of the device turned on or off.

  • Publication number: 20050113879
Abstract: A method and device for urinary function control. The method comprises selecting neuro-electrical coded signals, which are similar to those naturally generated within the body, from a storage area that are representative of urinary function. The selected neuro-electrical coded signals are then transmitted or conducted to a treatment member, which is in direct contact with the body, and which then broadcasts the neuro-electrical coded signals to a specific urinary nerve to modulate the urinary function. A control module is provided for transmission to the treatment member. The control module contains the neuro-electrical coded signals which are selected and transmitted to the treatment member, and computer storage can be provided for greater storage capacity and manipulation of the neuro-electrical coded signals.

Abstract: A method and device for limbic system control to provide medical treatment for emotions and instinct. The method comprises selecting neuro-electrical coded signals from a storage area that are representative of limbic brain structure function. The selected neuro-electrical coded signals are then transmitted to a treatment member, which is in direct contact with the body, and which then broadcasts the neuro-electrical coded signals to a specific nerve or organ to modulate the limbic system functioning. A control module is provided for transmission to the treatment member. The control module contains the neuro-electrical coded signals which are selected and transmitted to the treatment member, and computer storage can be provided for greater storage capacity and manipulation of the neuro-electrical coded signals.
