  • Patent number: 9931626
Abstract: A pipetting system including a positive displacement sampling pipette as well as a capillary-piston assembly, the piston of which has a top end intended to be held by a gripping device equipping the pipette, the device including a plurality of gripping tongs. The system is designed so that, when the capillary is fitted on the pipette tip and the gripping device is remote from the piston upwards, this device can be displaced downwards with its tongs in an open configuration, up to a determined position in which the tongs, arranged around the top end of the piston, automatically switch into a closed configuration in which they provide a holding of the top end of the piston.

  • Patent number: 9931625
Abstract: A bottom part of a positive-displacement pipetting system), including a body slideably housing a device for gripping a piston belonging to a capillary-piston assembly the capillary of which is adapted to be fitted onto an end-fitting of the body. The system also comprises means for ejecting the capillary-piston assembly arranged externally with respect to the body. The system is constructed so that a relative rotation between the ejection means and the gripping device causes it to pass from an open configuration enabling the piston to be released to a closed configuration enabling said piston to be retained, and/or the reverse.

  • Patent number: 9804064
Abstract: A positive displacement sampling pipette which includes a control rod, the bottom end of which controls the displacement of a device for gripping the top end of a piston of a capillary-piston assembly intended to cooperate with said pipette. The pipette includes an ejection rod of the capillary-piston assembly, movably mounted with respect to the control rod such that its bottom end exerts an ejection strain on the top end of the piston accommodated in the gripping device during a relative displacement between the ejection rod and the control rod.

  • Publication number: 20140298925
Abstract: The invention relates to a positive displacement sampling pipette (1), comprising a control rod (8) the bottom end (16) of which controls the displacement of a device (20) for gripping the top end (86) of a piston (82) belonging to a capillary-piston assembly (84) intended to cooperate with said pipette, According to the invention, the pipette includes an ejection rod (86) of said capillary-piston assembly, movably mounted with respect to said control rod (8) such that its bottom end (54) can exert an ejection strain on the top end (86) of the piston (82) accommodated in the gripping device (20), during a relative displacement between the ejection rod (46) and the control rod (8).

  • Publication number: 20070217932
Abstract: A cassette for use in a peristaltic pump is provided. The cassette includes a cassette frame, a cam, a cam position selector switch, and a biasing member. The cassette frame mounts to the peristaltic pump. The biasing member mounts to the cam and to the cassette frame and operably couples with the cam position selector switch. Moving the cam position selector switch in a first direction releases the cam position selector switch from the cassette frame. Moving the cam position selector switch in a second direction after releasing the cam position selector switch from the cassette frame adjusts a position of the cam relative to the cassette frame. The second direction is approximately perpendicular to the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20070212240
Abstract: A peristaltic pump is provided which includes a removable cassette that can be mounted to the peristaltic pump using a single hand of a user. The peristaltic pump includes, a pump frame, a plurality of rollers configured to mount to the pump frame, an actuator operably coupled to move the plurality of rollers, and the removable cassette The cassette includes a cassette frame and a cam positioned to compress a tube against the plurality of rollers. The cassette is mountable to the pump frame by applying pressure in a first direction to the cassette frame and is dismountable from the pump frame by applying pressure in the first direction to the cassette frame. In an exemplary embodiment, a pin mounts to the pump frame and the cassette frame includes a ramp configured to receive the pin so that the pin is held in a seat of the ramp.

  • Publication number: 20070183913
Abstract: A peristaltic pump is provided. The peristaltic pump includes a housing for a motors a receiving plate mounted to the housing, a locking plate, and a biasing member. The locking plate includes a first aperture capable of receiving a hook extending from a pump head, a second aperture capable of receiving a drive shaft of the pump head, and a release member. The biasing member elastically couples the receiving plate with the locking plate. Use of the release member by a user causes movement of the locking plate relative to the receiving plate to release the hook when received in the first aperture thereby releasing the pump head from the locking plate.
