  • Patent number: 7506924
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat having an air supply device by means of which an air flow can be established through a ventilation layer of the cushion of the seat in order to ventilate the seat and/or in order to heat the seat. An air outflow opening of the air supply device is arranged in the upper region of the seat and via which the head, shoulder and neck region of the seat occupant can be acted upon by an air flow. The air supply device is assigned a fan. In order to provide a motor vehicle seat with an air supply device which can be used more universally, the fan can be supplied with air from the ventilation layer of the cushion of the seat in order to generate the air flow for the head, shoulder and neck region of the seat occupant.

  • Patent number: 7503625
Abstract: An air supply device for a vehicle seat has an air channel arranged on the pressure side of a blower. The channel comprises at least one air discharge opening provided in the upper region of the seat for supplying the head, shoulder and neck area of an occupant of the seat with an adjustable airflow. A heating element is arranged in the air channel between the blower and the air discharge opening. In order to provide the air supply device with an airflow which feels more comfortable to the occupant of the seat, a grid element is arranged inside the air channel between the air discharge opening and the heating element. As a result, the airflow emerging from the air discharge opening is homogenized and slowed down, and this slowing-down allows more heat to be transferred to the airflow from the heating element.

  • Publication number: 20090051197
Abstract: An air supply device for a vehicle seat, in particular of a convertible, and a method for adjusting an airflow of an air supply device of this type are provided. In the air supply device and the method with the aid of a Peltier element which is provided in an air duct of the air supply device, the temperature of the airflow can be adjusted as a function of diverse parameters. For this purpose, the flow of air is conducted either over a heating surface or a cooling surface of the Peltier element.

  • Publication number: 20080315640
Abstract: In a vehicle seat with a backrest arranged on a mount and on which at least one head restraint is arranged, an intermediate space formed between a lower delimitation of the head restraint and an upper delimitation the backrest can be covered by a cover device. To reduce a disadvantageous effect on exchangeability, the novel cover device is to be as universally useable as possible and is to readily follow the vertical movement of the head restraint. Accordingly, the present cover device is firstly connected in terms of action to the head restraint and secondly to the backrest in such a manner that, upon a height adjustment of the backrest and/or of the head restraint, an adjustment of the cover device takes place.

  • Publication number: 20080290703
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat comprising a back rest (11), a height-adjustable head rest (12), and an aeration device (13) that is integrated into the back rest and comprises a blow opening (16) arranged in the upper side (111) of the back rest (11) and used to blow out hot air. The aim of the invention is to improve the aeration device by reducing the aeration noises and generating a comfortable warm feeling for the user of the seat, in the head, neck and shoulder region. To this end, a diffuser (19) is arranged in the intermediate space between the back rest (11) and the head padding (15) of the head rest (12), said diffuser being embodied and oriented in relation to the blow opening in such a way that the hot air flow through the blow opening towards the head padding is deflected into a wide, diffuse hot air flow flowing around the head, neck and shoulder area of a user (10).
