  • Patent number: 4336986
Abstract: Disclosed is a camera including a camera housing and an objective lens having an image axis. The objective lens for the camera is mounted in a tube which is movable between an extended exposure position and a retractive storage position. When the tube is in the extended exposure position, a locking device responsive to operation of the shutter release, increases the biasing force on the objective lens towards its extended position. The locking device is made up of several cams spring biased against two pins radially projecting from the objective tube. The cams are prevented from bearing against the pins by a control linkage which prevention is released during shutter actuation.

  • Patent number: 4329041
Abstract: The present invention provides a hand grip which makes it possible to hold a camera by the grip fixed under the camera body or by the grip disposed to the left or right alongside the camera body. A release button which is disposed on the grip and by which the camera shutter is usually triggered, is fully capable of functioning in all possible positions of the grip. It always lies on the front of the grip and can be operated in the customary manner with the index finger. A connecting member is used between the hand grip and the camera. This connecting member may be a supporting plate with attachment bolt for connection to the grip itself. Or by constructing the connecting member as a T-shaped side holder, the hand grip can be optionally located on the left or right side of the camera body.

  • Patent number: 4306792
Abstract: Disclosed is a camera having a flash unit with at least two flash power levels. A distance adjustment also used for focusing the lens of the camera and a film sensitivity adjustment combine to position a switch which selects the correct one of the flash power levels for correct exposure of the film. In preferred embodiments, a range indicator, based on the film sensitivity, indicates the distance range over which the various power levels of the flash unit can correctly expose the film. Focusing the camera lens also moves an indicator which, if within the range, selects the appropriate power level for operation when a picture is to be taken.

  • Patent number: 4280762
Abstract: Disclosed is a camera including a camera housing and an objective lens having an image axis. The objective lens for the camera is mounted in a tube which is movable between an extended exposure position and a retracted storage position. When the tube is in the extended exposure position, an annulus around the tube cooperates with a projection on the tube to set the precise extended position necessary to provide a sharply focused image on the camera film.

  • Patent number: 4221477
Abstract: A camera has a housing accommodating a shutter release element, and a detachable handgrip on the housing which is turnable about a pivot axis extending transverse to the optical axis. A trigger element is integrated in the handgrip and a coupling is provided which, on depressing of the trigger element, will operate the shutter release element irrespective of the position which the handgrip assumes relative to the camera housing on being turned about the aforementioned pivot axis.

  • Patent number: 4208113
Abstract: A camera has a housing and a T-shaped handgrip turnably mounted on a side wall of the housing. A shutter release element is mounted in the housing. A trigger button is mounted in the handgrip. A coupling is interposed between the button and the shutter release element and is composed of two slidable pins extending normal to each other and having cooperating cam faces so arranged that when one pin moves towards the other in response to depressing of the trigger button, it causes the other pin to slide toward and actuate the shutter release element.

  • Patent number: 4097883
Abstract: The grip part proper is angularly adjustably connected to a head carrying the camera whereby the grip axis and the axis of rotation are inclined to each other and the latter is inclined to the center axis of the head. The correspondingly oblique interface is additionally used to hold an adjustable ring carrying a camera release switch.

  • Patent number: 4097144
Abstract: A device for displacing a body along a guiding column which is particularly suitable for the projection head of an enlarging or reproducing apparatus. The device comprises in a conventional manner a guiding column and, on the body, a friction wheel which presses against the column and which is disposed on a shaft. The shaft of the friction wheel is mounted in the sleeve-like body which surrounds the column except in the vicinity of the friction wheel. The friction wheel is sub-divided into two wheel portions and means are provided for exerting a force upon the wheel portions along the axis of the friction wheel. These means act upon a guiding surface of the column disposed at an angle of up to 90.degree. with respect to the friction wheel axis.

  • Patent number: 4093363
Abstract: A motion picture projector having a housing or casing having one narrow side and one wide side, substantially perpendicular to each other. The film spools are arranged on the wide side. In a first projection position, the housing is arranged upright, resting on its narrow side, with the wide side approximately vertical. To enable projection to take place also when the projector is laid on a wide side, rather than standing upright, a first mirror is swung into position across the beam of projected light rays, and projects the rays upwardly to a second mirror arranged at an opening in the wide side of the housing. A control knob moves both mirrors simultaneously to effective projecting position, and also serves to adjust the exact inclination of the second mirror so as to vary the height of the projected image on the viewing screen at some distance from the projector.

  • Patent number: 4019041
Abstract: Photographic flash apparatus having a body provided with a cavity for storage of the synchronizing cable, and a mounting bar or rail pivoted to the body in such a way that in one position of the mounting bar, it forms a closure for the cable storage cavity, and other positions of the mounting bar enable the bar to be attached to the camera and enable the body of the flash apparatus to be swung to either one of two positions relative to the mounting bar. Releaseable latch means holds the mounting bar in the selected one of its various positions relative to the flash apparatus.
