  • Patent number: 11068827
Abstract: Provided is a manner of determining a performance indicator score for an entity. A method includes identifying a set of result indicators that contribute to a target result for a defined process. The set of result indicators include a first result indicator, a second result indicator, and a third result indicator. The method also includes determining a first score for the first result indicator, a second score for the second result indicator, and a third score for the third result indicator. Further, the method includes applying a first weight to the first score, a second weight to the second score, and a third weight to the third score. A master performance indicator score is determined based on a combination of the first score, the second score, and the third score as a function of the first weight, the second weight, and the third weight.

  • Publication number: 20200116620
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for measuring disintegration of a fibrous product. The method comprises disintegration of a sample of the fibrous product in an aqueous solution, optionally promoted by mechanical energy, passing the aqueous solution through a screen to obtain a permeate and retained fraction on the screen, and analyzing at least one parameter from the permeate for example by a gravimetric analysis, an optical analysis, an electrochemical analysis, a volumetric analysis, or combination thereof. Advantages include adjustability, speed, and high correlation with actual flushability or repulpability of the fibrous product, and utility in a process for manufacturing a fibrous sheet exhibiting controlled disintegration, such as a flushable or repulpable fibrous sheet.

  • Patent number: 9816977
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and arrangement for detecting free fiber ends in a paper surface. The method comprises illuminating a target sample (6) surface, which comprises free fiber ends, from at least two directions one at the time, with at least one light source (1). Original reflectance images are obtained for the target sample (6) surface with an imaging device (4), and a surface normal is estimated for each image pixel of the original reflectance image. Thus it is possible to reconstruct a reconstructed reflectance image from the estimated surface normals, and to compare the reconstructed reflectance image and the corresponding original reflectance image and to construct a difference image, where the differences represent shadow objects of the free fiber ends in a paper surface.

  • Patent number: 9797163
Abstract: An identification module is disclosed for use in a key making machine. The identification module may have a key receiving assembly configured to receive only a shank of an existing key, and an imaging assembly configured to generate an image of the shank while the existing key is being manually held in the key receiving assembly. The identification module may also have a housing configured to house the key receiving assembly and the imaging assembly. The housing may have a slot formed therein to receive the existing key. The identification module further may have a tip guide configured to receive a tip of the shank of the existing key as the tip is inserted through the slot. The tip guide may be linearly movable by insertion of the existing key from a first location at the slot to a second location away from the slot.
