  • Patent number: 7749328
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of operating a dishwasher with a central control unit, by measuring the turbidity of the rinsing liquid and establishing the course of the program as a function of the turbidity of the rinsing liquid. In a pre-rinse operation, measurement values determined by a sensor system are derived from the soiling of the rinsing liquid and supplied to the control unit, which calculates therefrom associated parameters for the further course of the program and establishes the latter correspondingly.

  • Patent number: 7387688
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of operating a dishwasher with a central control unit by measuring the turbidity of the rinsing liquid and establishing the course of the program as a function of the turbidity of the rinsing liquid, the program beginning with a pre-rinse program step. In order to achieve a completely automatic operation, data for the further course of the program are calculated in the pre-rinse program portion with determined measurement values of turbidity and evaluation thereof.

  • Publication number: 20070032912
Abstract: A vehicle system for operation in a motor vehicle has an operator control for operating the vehicle system and a controller for influencing operation of the vehicle system via the operator control. The vehicle system also includes a device which is designed for determining whether the operator control is being accessed by the driver or another occupant of the vehicle, and the controller influences the operation of the vehicle system via the operator control at least as a function of whether the operator control is being accessed by the driver or another occupant of the vehicle. In this manner, operator access which may excessively distract the vehicle driver from the actual driving task is thus effectively disabled. At the same time, the vehicle system remains fully, or at least largely, operational for other vehicle occupants.

  • Patent number: 7086406
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for measuring the turbidity of the rinsing liquid in a dishwasher by means of a turbidity sensor. If it is provided according to the invention that the turbidity sensor is incorporated into the inlet flow of the circulation pump into the water drain shaft of the dishwasher and continuously measures the turbidity of the rinsing liquid, that the upper and lower spraying plane can be operated alternately, that a difference value can be derived from the turbidity values associated with upper and lower spray plane, that parameters for the quantity and the type of soiling can be derived from the turbidity values and the difference value and that the further rinse program can be established and controlled with these parameters, then, with low complexity, measurement values for the degree of soiling can be obtained, from which value parameters for the further course of the program can be delivered.

  • Patent number: 6509558
Abstract: The invention concerns an optical sensor for measuring the property of a gaseous or liquid medium, particularly the opaqueness of a washing or rinsing liquid in a washing or rinsing machine, with at least one radiation source, a radiation receiver and a light-transmitting sensor body, with an optical boundary surface, which, depending on the nature of the medium present outside the boundary surface of the sensor body, to a greater or lesser degree transmits to the radiation receiver and/or reflects the radiation directed on to it, resulting at the radiation receiver in different measurement signals which characterise the reflectivity and the refractive index conditions at the boundary surface. Unambiguous measurement signals for process control of a washing or rinsing machine are obtained through separate sensing of the transparency and reflection of the medium.

  • Patent number: 5193966
Abstract: The feeding device (1) comprises two sliding rails (2, 3) arranged in parallel to each other and obliquely to the horizontal. The gap (5) between these rails can be adjusted to the diameter of the bolt blanks to be profiled. In order to be able to perform this adjustment of the gap (5) faster and more accurately, the sliding rails (2, 3) form a parallelogram-type linkage with traverses (10) located above these rails and obliquely to their longitudinal extension. The traverses (10) are attached to bars (9) rotatable in clamping sleeves (6, 7) and mounted so that they can be fixed in position. The clamping sleeves (7) on the movable sliding rail (3) are located, in the conveying direction of the feeding device (1), in front of those (6) on the fixed sliding rail (2), so that the width of the gap (5) is adjustable by pivoting the traverses (10). The device is utilized in machines for rolling thread or other peripheral profiling operations.

  • Patent number: 4237605
Abstract: A machine for assembling washers on headed screw blanks, comprises a turntable having peripheral recesses into which the washers are inserted. Elevators in the form of vertically swinging arms are mounted on the turntable about the periphery thereof, extending generally radially of the turntable, and are cam controlled to swing vertically relative to the turntable. In their upwardly swung position, recesses in the outer ends of the arms receive screw blanks beneath the heads thereof, the arms then swinging downwardly to insert the screw blanks in the washers that are in alignment below the screw blanks on the turntable. At the discharge side of the turntable, a slideway is provided for complete assemblies; but incomplete assemblies are detected and are disassembled with the parts returned to storage.
