  • Patent number: 7458471
Abstract: Referred to as the “Stemware Saver” or “Stemsaver”, this assembled device is specifically designed to be installed in a conventional household dishwasher for the purpose of holding or cradling one stemmed glassware of any size or configuration in a preferred inverted orientation so as to be properly angled for cleaning and likewise securing the glass against inadvertent movement during the washing or rinsing cycles wherein such movement could result in inadequate cleaning or even breakage. The assembly is comprised of a mounting base that clamps to one of the upright wire prongs within the dishwasher's holding rack, a swiveling holding cradle for securing the stem of the glass, and a pivoting arm with one end snapping onto the mounting base and the other end for the holding cradle's attachment.

  • Patent number: 4875394
Abstract: Improvements in a hand manipulable device with bifurcated jaws for removing mushroom shaped stoppers from sparkling beverage bottles wherein each jaw contains a recess enabling the device to be repositioned directly around the stopper's stem and on top of the bottle when the stopper has been partially removed, thereby providing a means for additional leverage and lift capability; pivotally interconnected upper and lower levels which are interlocked, thereby eliminating the likelihood that the pivot action might be either too tight or too loose, and enabling the insertion of a hidden spring which eliminates the need for an exposed and perhaps hazardous spring between the handles; and without an exposed spring, grip means is permitted beneath the handles that provides an alternate method of stopper removal; the addition of clips to the upper jaw to prevent the stopper from ricocheting out from under the retaining arm; and a retaining arm which is either flexible or movable thereby permitting a downwardly direct

  • Patent number: 4477069
Abstract: An electronic entertainment apparatus for a multiple number of consoles, each of which is operated by one or more participants. A variety of controls at each console enable the participant to regulate his movements within the computer simulated environment, also shared by all other participants. These displays, at all consoles, appear three-dimensional, as if each participant were himself moving through a scene that is particular to his vantage point in this simulated environment. Through such means participants may interact with one another, thus creating a whole new kind of entertainment activity. All consoles are electrically connected to a separately located master computer system, and each game or performance is generated by the program within the master computer system. The program can be easily replaced with another, thereby changing the entertainment in much the same manner as changing a reel of film in a movie theater.
